Gethzerion -vs- Galen Marek

Started by SunRazer3 pages

Gethzerion's pretty damn powerful. On Dathomir, I'd have to give it to her, honestly, but off Dathomir, I don't imagine her powers would be nearly as great and Galen should win.

In Legends, Vader improves quite significantly between TFU and ESB, and improves again by RotJ, and it's only by then that he surpasses Gethzerion's power. I'd put her noticeably above his TFU incarnation/Galen.

Galen.

I'll go Galen.

Galen's shown to be able to accomplish lightning and TK feats that are on par or superior with Geth's own.

The spell that broke blood vessels in Luke's brain is specifically mentioned to have been accomplished before Luke knew Geth had evil intent. Given the OP specifies that Galen's going down to the planet to face Geth to test his skills as he's heard she's a powerful dark sider he's going to be aware of any malicious intent she might have for him.

Huh, a logical Syndicate argument. Be still my beating heart.

All my arguments are logical even if you don't recognize them as such.

I was actually starting to like Galen, until DD started wanking him in a way that made him unlikable.

Well, I say Gethzerion wins here - after a difficult fight.

She's shown to be as powerful as Marek - if not more powerful.

And best of all: Palpatine was not afraid of Marek - but he was afraid of Gethzerion.

That speaks volumes in the true difference of their power.

As being very adept with a lightsaber, she could at least hold him off there, long enough to take him out with her Force abilities - if she didn't do that already.

"Another staggering, painful step and the Emperor was within the apprentice's reach. With shaking fingers, he took the old man's bony shoulders in his hands and gripped them tight. The Sith lightning spread to engulf the two of them, fueled by both their desperations. The Emperor tipped back his head and howled in lascivious pain. Darkness threatened to envelop the apprentice's mind, but he clutched to consciousness with feverish will. He had to see this through. He had to.

A squadron of stormtroopers ran into the room, led by a limping Darth Vader. They raised their blasters to gun down the Rebels as they fled up the Rogue Shadow's ramp.

"No!" the apprentice cried, dropping his defenses to strike one last time at the Imperials." - The Force Unleashed.

It should also be noted that Sidious was wary of Ventress growth in power in TCW to the point that he ordered their death and that he limited his Inquisitor corpse so that the strongest of them wouldn't even be a match for a Ventress or post RotS Obi Wan level opponent. This is mostly because he's wary and suspicious as f*ck. He fears any threat to his power legitimate or not. Not to say Geth isn't powerful of course, just pointing out the fact that Sidious being wary of an individual doesn't make them a true threat.

*Shrug* I just try to be honest to my thoughts and opinions on certain characters. If that offends you, well, I'm sorry but you're just going to have to live with it.

I take Advil for that.

Why not alcohol, tho 🙂

I'm not so sure, she did kill 100 people with a wave of her hand. That's pretty fvcking impressive imo. Owning Luke is another thing that's indicative of great skill and power.

"Soon the foyer was full of the twitching, smoking bodies of the temple's hapless guardians. He began to tire, not from exertion but from the tedium of knocking down droid after droid, to no apparent end. There might have been thousands of them. Deactivating his lightsaber, he took a deep breath. With one mighty exhalation of power, he blasted all of them-those in pieces and those approaching with needle-tipped fingers and vibrosaws upraised-out of the foyer doors. Then he blasted the rubbish piles after them. He kept pushing until a dark cloud toured out over Raxus Prime's hideous landscape-an artificial hurricane full of droid golems. When the foyer was clear, the apprentice straightened. He was no longer pushing with the Force, but the floor beneath him shook nonetheless." - The Force Unleashed.

Galen accomplishes a better feat before his prime and then tops it by continuing to push and causing an artificial hurricane and groundquake.

Didn't Starkiller also control lightning from the sky on Kamino to bring it to his hand and shock Vader in TFUII?

That was the clone and that's only in the game. In the novel he puts himself into an indefensible position to get Vader to lower his guard before targeting an opening made by Juno.

Eh even still, it's not impossible for him to call Lighting to him. Force knows far less powerful Force Users can control literal lighting.

Oh definitely. I just don't think he's ever shown himself to accomplish such a feat before.
