The Amazing Spider-man 2 (2014)

I guess this is what happens when Sony tries to dish out a Spiderman movie just so they could keep the rights to the character.

That aside Rhino and Electro aren't appealing at all and even though I would've preferred a Green Goblin closer to the Ultimate version, I still find it weird that nobody seems to grasp Green Goblin's design considering how relatively simple it is in comparison to other supervillain projects on the big screen.

Didn't you see Sam Raimi's original costume design before going with the power ranger suit.

I actually did not see it but I will be sure to check it out. I still find it weird that Green Goblin is going through a rather unecessary revamp.

With the emergence of Electro, Spider-Man must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, Peter Parker comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

not feeling Foxx as Electro, not his cadence when he speaks or the way he looks. Meh.

the action looks legit tho. These guys really seems to have a handle on how agile Spidey should be (the school scene in ASM was perfection, imo), more-so than the Tobey movies where Spidey seemed acrobatic, but not necessarily agile and dexterous.

nice car feat, btw. iirc, Tobey Spidey struggled with that kind of weight. Garfield Spidey seems physically stronger to me, while having weaker webbing than Tobey's Spidey.

I'm sorta mixed on it. The villains looks kinda lame and the effect aren't that great but we may finally get the Sinister 6 on film. It certainly shows promise though and looks far better than the first film.

The Rhino suit looks like absolute garbage. Even by "Ultimates" standards, it looks bad. $20 says that Rhino will be the minor villain that is somewhat easily defeated half way into the film to pave the way for the showdown with Electro, the main villain.

Dane DeHaan as Harry? Okay, I like it. Dane did very well in Chronicle as the white version of Tetsuo, so I think he'll do well as the eventual Green Goblin.

I'm wondering if Norman Osborne is going to be a throwaway Green Goblin to make way for Harry's eventual GG. We see Norman in bed all sick like, and suddenly he's flying around on a glider. Kinda makes you think.

I'm still on the fence about Electro. I mean, he looks awesome and from what I saw, he's gonna rock the movie, but I'm more concerned with actual character and acting. Foxx is a good actor, I have to admit, but I don't want Electro to be all bravado and cheesy one liners.

I also caught a glimpse of Doc Ock's arms and Vulture's wings in the Oscorps Labs. Sinister Six, anyone? Giggity. I'm eager to see what Aunt May is keeping from Peter, and the progression of the mystery of Peter's parents.

This trailer was good, all around. I can't wait to see the final trailer.

horrible.. horrible trailer..

rhino looks like shit.. dane dehaan talks like a boy on speed and crack..

foxx, who i thought initially might do well, looks wrong

the slo mo action stuff is so... outdated

hopefully there will be a new trailer for the superbowl

i was pumped when i heard about Rhino 'cause i thought the franchise was gonna continue with the genetic mutations like Connor's Lizard. This... this bullshit mecha rhino suit, though, it's awful.

I agree with a lot of what you said. Although, I believe that it was harry on the glider. If you watch the trailer very closely there is a scene with what appears to be Harry shirtless screaming in pain. Its my assumption they are setting it up so Harry becomes the first GG and Norman under goes the treatment to "save his life" somewhere near the end of the film.

That trailer was great. I'm liking Foxx as Electro. He gives off the same sinister vibe his 616 counterpart does to me. His Ultimate Version always seemed like a typical thug with amazing powers and a temper problem. This one seems like a geniunly bad guy (which, to this day, we haven't had in a Spiderman villain except that terrible Venom). I'm sold on him, and Foxx has always been a good actor.

Rhinos suit is terrible, but he will probably be a throw away villain. His character is already confirmed to be a joke thug encounter with a machine gun in the beginning that gets dispatched relatively easily.

Docs arms and Vultures wings are cool easter eggs.

Dehaan seems like he's going to make a great Harry. I'm still not sold on his costume, but his acting will be great. He's probably going to end up getting killed. Norman will take the same treatent he did in rage and hopefully become the Green Goblin we deserve.

Spoiler:
Also, I'm calling it now. 1:20 is the after credits scene. Six numbered blast doors opening revealing containment units inside? We've got Shocker, Rhino, Electro, Lizard, and Goblin (who will probably die) as confirmed in existence. We've also got Ocks arms and Vultures wings, who will probably finish the six after Harry is gone, leaving the real Green Goblin with his own movie. I'm betting the after credits scene will just show all six villains (or the majority of them) in containment. Spiderman 3 will give us the Norman as Goblin, where he'll kill Gwen and at some point cause a massive containment breach setting the six on the world.

We also know that Oscorp has been keeping tabs on Pete, which means they know he's Spiderman. I bet they're going to go the Ultimate route and have the entire Sinister 6 know who Pete is and target him directly. I remember that caused hell for him in Ultimate Six.

And they do have Spidey's agility down well, but the fights in the Raimi trilogy were more fun to watch IMO. No super hero movie has come close to his encounters with Goblin or Ock yet. I was hoping this movie would, but it doesn't look like it yet.

And it looks like Spidey will get some good feats this time around. We've got confirmed bullet timing and him catching that car was impressive. That trailer has pushed my hype for this movie way up.

No, I'm avoiding the holy hell out of spoilers until this movie comes out. I heard there was some guy spoiling the entire movie on reddit, but there is no way I'm ruining this experience for myself.

Plus, it's a pretty obvious assumption to make. All the villains get created, and then captured. It only makes sense that scene would be towards the end.

You may want to edit you're message. I don't think anyone wants that confirmation. I know I didn't.

Trailer looks awesome...goblin does not

Well Electro vs Spidey looks fun!

It's about time they showed just how good Spidey is at dodging shots.

Is it just me out does goblin look kinda cheesy.

They had an easter egg pointing towards Venom. It's impossible to catch ifyou don't go frame by frame and enhance like these guys, but the symbiote is being stored at Oscorp. I'm betting that was Petes fathers work, and they killed him and his wife after he refused to weaponize it. That falls in line almost exactly with the Ultimate origin for Venom.

Edit: Apparently MJ is in the trailer too. Turns out she didn't get cut I guess

Why did they do Green Goblin AGAIN and STILL f#ck it up??!!

And why does he looks so much like Bill Maher? lol
