Pyrokinesis: The Goblin can generate fiery bolts of energy from his hands, which he uses as weapons which can explode like bombs.

Ok but that action figure looks like a cross between Hulk parts, Killer Croc & Etrigan rolled into one.

I thought he looked more like a combination of Abomination and Doomsday, which is all pretty accurate to the comic. Plus, I love this version of him almost as much as the original. Seeing Spidey go up against him was always a rush.

^ Yeah plus it sets him apart from the Ramai Goblins.

I don't mind them forgoing the cheesy Power Range-esque Dafoe-Goblin. That design looks horrible though. He looks like a Satanic Hulk.

Part of the fun of the Green Goblin is his technology, imo. I think that turning him into some Hulk-esque brawler character with pyromancy will tarnish his ability to be a good villain. I can already picture him as just being this entirely CGI green, growling blob. Not looking forward to that.

I never got why people didn't like the Ultimate Green Goblin design. Sure it lacks the gadgets but how is a devil-Hulk like enemy not cool? Then again I have always wondered why directors don't like the 616 style Green Goblin. Is it just that hard to do or something?

Personality wise, Ultimate Goblin and Ultimate Osborn aren't even very different from their Ultimate counterparts (although he does seem to be a little less sane, which is impressive considering we're measuring him up against the 616 Gree Goblin). He still does the crazy things he does with a focus on messing with Spidey, just like his 616 counterpart (at least before he became Iron Patriot). His fights seem more epic and dirty too.

How could you not want to see these two collide on the big screen?

He was also the one who created the Sinister 6 in the Ultimate version, and led them in a fight against the Ultimates and Spiderman.

The possibilities for Ultimate Goblin being included get me hyped as hell.

I'm sure it'll be good

thing is haven't really been a fan of that Ultimate verse, Its great Galactus is wreaking havoc in that place.

First time I saw Ultimate Green Goblin I put the book down and refused to go back.
Never enjoyed Ultimate Spiderman anyway.

ultimate Gobby going forward should be good, however will he get a lot of screen time or very little and that remains unknown at this point

Fast forward to 1:45.

Man, I loved that encounter. That and Spiderman 2 are hands down the best Spiderman games (maximum carnage was awesome, but got outdone IMO).

Spider-Slayers headed to this sequel ?

Jeez this sequel is getting crowded.

They may just be introducing Spencer Smythe now to set up Spider Slayers for the next film.

But they are trying to crowd these films with villains as everythings supposed to be leading to a Sinister Six movie.

Really need a proper trailer now though. I mean this movie os only months away.

Its my assumption that Norman will be throughout the movie but won't become the Goblin until right near the end. I could be terribly wrong but I could imagine something like....Norman transforming and the camera pans up close to around one of his eyes. His skin will start to turn green and his eye will change. Then it will cut to either credits or the end story wrap up.

Thats what I would do at least lol

One thing I can say is...it's gonna be fun to listen to all those spider-man "fans" that either don't read comics or have only read a few. The ones that don't know anything about the ultimate Green Goblin. More specifically the ones that don't know of his existence. I bet some people will say stuff like "thats not the Green Goblin. Hes suppose to be a crazy guy in a suit." or "Hulk wannabe" and some will say "Nice change!" I think its cool but they are taking a risk with the average movie going fans that don't care about the comics.

They've released a few short clips of Spidey falling and swinging around. It kind of reminds me of the clips they released as teasers to the first Spiderman movie from the previous trilogy. I'm excited for this! Also, since you guys haven't posted it yet, here's the first poster for the movie. We've got our first look at Rhino (who is mechanical like his ultimate incarnation), and our first look at the Green Goblin (who's on a glider like his 616 incarnation).
