Oh dear lord, can you imagine the controversy if they made Spiderman gay/bi? Spiderman is such a popular character amongst kids... Hollywood would never live it down.

So that article is basically Garfield saying he'd like to get ****ed by black guys.

they're just trying to get gay people watch the movie.. any press is good press..

If he was kidding at all with that reporter, it certainly didn't come across in the story.

I know it's probably politically incorrect, to shoot down this idea of Spidey being gay or bisexual out of hand.....BUT'S IT A BAD IDEA. Nuff said.

Why would he get fired? The guy plays a brilliant Parker/Spider-Man Imho.

It's not like young actors, actresses and musicians these days aren't known for putting their foots in their mouths so often, with all the talking they do. The ready-made excuse of the moment is "I didn't say that, twitter did!" It's like twitter enslaves their minds and makes them do things. 🙄

garfield has said it himself that he could get fired.. maguire was 33 after he did the last spiderman film.. garfield is 29 right now, he will be similar in age around the time he does part 3.. not saying it will happen but it certainly might.. remember sony didn't want to pay raimi and maguire a ton of money to return so it could happen again

there was more to it than just that.The main reason a reboot was started was because Mcguire didnt want to do anymore films after the third one.I remember reading where he said he wanted to branch out and do other roles and films to avoid being typecast like Chistopher Reeve was as superman and he also mentioned that there was nowhere else to go with the story anywhere.that they had gone as far as they could with the characters and the story.

that they couldnt go any further with it than what they had.
