Nova: We should move out soon
Athena: *interrupts* Move out soon, yeah like I said. So let's get going!
Nova: ....
Athena: *starts to walk*
Nova: *Large sudden flame engulfs Athena, making her look like burnt toast.*
Athena: E-Eh..? *falls back. PFFFT!*
Nova: Idiot.. *Starts walking*
EDIT: See, don't get insulted by this but all of Sacred's post that I just read. He's a good RPer but that post reeked of perfectionist. In a case like that, a Titan wouldn't...
1. Suddenly be alerted to something without more then a "feeling".
2. Seamlessly manage to "interfere".
I can just imagine in a case like that, Beast Boy would go crashing through the glass screaming "I'm coming!" before suddenly getting caught in a tree.
By the way sacred, don't get upset about this post, I'm not singling you out. I just needed an example and you kind of fit it there. As far as typing in comical things, you don't need to "try" to do it. You need to step back and not try to make your character be the "Super Flawless Bad*** who makes no mistakes". Get it?

None taken. It's definitely not the intention. He actually hasn't done anything awesome yet, but I wasn't sure how else to write it. I took this up briefly with Seiya beforehand. He's by no means flawless, rest assured. I'm actually looking forward to displaying his (rather human) weaknesses. As for the "feeling" business, he is empathic, after all, and a rise in tension can reasonably disrupt the "airwaves", so to speak. I'll try to be a little more clear about those things.
I'll say this, I'm relatively new to unhosted play, so criticism is welcomed so long as it's reasonable, which it is. Again, I have absolutely no aim to have a "flawless" character because that basically prevents true characterization. I'm trying to work my way in, though, so I can actually get to his imperfections.
Oh it's no problem and I don't think that you're trying to do anything bad. In fact, most people make a flawless character. It's not that their character has to be the best but rather they don't like the thought of their character failing. The thought that their character might die or might honestly do something embarrassing unscripted and all. It's very natural. The thing is that for a Teen Titan's RP, we need those "flawed" moments. Not just the serious ones but the ones that can just make us laugh. It's one of the big points of them being Teens as opposed to adults. They're not as well trained, they're incompetent from time to time. One of them might try to fire an arrow and have it end up in their teammates bottom in the middle of a life or death battle. It wasn't so much the sensing, which is fully understandable, so much as the phasing through glass which is a larger "I can do things with no consequence" feeling. Again, no bad here, perfectly acceptable for such a small thing. Just a good example to use to help the others understand the whole lighter side of it.

About the glass thing... that was mainly to emphasize his green aura exclusive ability to rearrange or mildly manipulate matter, and we haven't really had a comfortable moment for comedic sequence since such things usually come at the start of an episode and we've just basically been trying to get things established. That'll be interesting when we finally get around to it.
I'm actually trying to get another character in order (hopefully an anti-villain) to bring out some of his flaws and play on them a little. It will also give him room for development and maybe an episode when it comes around to that.
Yeah. See, being a perfectionist would be like Red X coming in via teleport right in the middle of the sphere, dropping a restrictive band around Austin to break his concentration, then kicking off a spike before the sphere disperses, landing back on shore and walking away as Austin hits the ground and explodes. Without looking back.

Got it. That's the whole reason I asked if it would be a problem with him. Believe me, guys, I'll definitely try to avoid that in the future. I have to say, I'm kinda horrified that I made this mistake, but it's at least good that I know about it.
Okay, no, this was my fault. I was making a joke man. Meant to be playing fun at something I could have done with Red X that would still be in character but also be terribly Sue of me, y'know? Didn't mean to make you feel like you were being caught in the middle of something.
Hakuna matata, amirite? dur

So, in other words, you were exaggerating? Lol.
Also, I didn't know X could actually teleport. I thought it was just illusory.
