You think Bendis portrayed Thanos sensibly? 😆Since when was it embarassing to be defeated by three teams (Avengers, FF4, GOTG), with over 20 heroes shown on panel? Not to mention the fact that Tony stated the fake cube may have damaged Thanos, mixed with the fact that Thanos couldn't control the cube properly, there's evidence the cube actually weakened him.
Basically it was the 3 or 4 heavy hitters that beat Thanos down. Maybe Hawkeye assisted. The rest would not even be registered by Thanos, I mean come on. It would be like if three or four really big guys beat you up while a dozen toddlers were running around your feet. Would anyone claim afterwards "Oh yeah, it took that entire team to take me down! 12+ guys just to put me on the ground!"
And yes, that is about where Thanos should be. He shouldn't be able to beat those guys together. Starlin made Thanos a really boring and stupid character who seemed to exist just to gratify young fanboys' (and Starlin's) juvenile power fantasies. I used to own almost all Thanos' appearances up to IG and some later ones, but later I started to wish the character would just get killed off for good.
Bendis does very little good stuff but that scene was fine.
