Wonder Woman and Aquaman must save the DCEU after Justice League....

Yah, Golgo, things are peachy....lol this guy is so dense...

Didn't I just say JL was a disappoint? Can you read, CPT? 😂

DCEU is still here to stay. Primarily, because of the money it has gathered in the past.

im sure SHITTINGMYPANTIESBOY cries everytime he posts about the dceu.. its a sad truth that he cannot handle. maybe we should check in on him from now on hahahahahahahaha..

Huge shakeup at Warner. The dceu fans are the whipping boys for fans of Marvel. It's enjoyable to rub it in.

MOS did better than pretty much every SH movie out there. People liked it, generally.

CW did have a poor multiplier, but I'm not crazy to think that it had a bad performance. You can't just look at multiplier, OW, etc... You have to look at the bigger picture. Mark is spot on, IMO. Only point I'm trying to make, is the DCEU isn't a flop or massive failure. At least not BO, financial wise. And that is true.

Yes MOS did very well, so the hate is clearly coming from a minority. But point is there clearly was a level of dislike/hate which was massively expanded upon by BvS and SS.

I don’t just look at multipliers either. Home Entertainment sales and the OW of future films are also a massive indicator. Oh and outside of “Money made”, Cinemascores are a reliable indicator (though not perfect on their own). And critics to an extent. Critical scores under 50% is never a good sign. You put all these factors together and you know how the vast majority felt.

Now Civil War ticks all those boxes in spades. With the sole exception of box office multiplier which is why that should be given a pass in this instant.

But nothing you posted changes the fact that BvS was a truly toxic film. Batman wanting to kill Superman translated horribly on screen, as did the whole idea of Batman fighting Superman. And having Wonder Woman show up as well was just Horrible “Rushing” by WB. Because that essentially became the First Justice League film, and then the Actual Justice League was just a sequel to a poorly received movie.

BvS had an underwhelming cinemascore “B”, and the poorest multiplier out there for big box office superhero films. And then of course the the OW of its sequel (JL) tanked. And we know how bad it’s critic score was.

So the only box BvS ticks is having its blu-ray sales reach the top 10. And that was with the gimmick of an “Extended Cut”.

Suicide Squad for all its box office success (in the same ballpark as Deadpool and would have beaten GOTG if it had China) hasn’t really impressed on Bly-Ray sales. If it really was the “hot new property” it’s box office made out, then it should have been selling at the level of GOTG and Deadpool. Or at least Civil War/MOS. But it’s not even in the top 10, despite again having the gimmick of “extended cut.”

Now I’d think the Harley/Joker duo thing has probably caught on. And I wouldn’t recat Margot Robbie. But besides that the response to SS seems to have been pretty “Meh.”

And finally his comparison of “yearly box office against Marvel’s” falls even shorter than his prediction this year, and is going to completely fail next year.

So like I said, some interesting facts, but all it proves is that BvS and SS Just made a quick buck but in the process tarnished the DC brand.
If they followed MOS with WW, and then did JL, then the brand wouldn’t be tarnished and JL would have been Huge, and only The Trinity would have been needed for the first JL. Flash, Shazam and Aquaman could have joined up in the sequel afte their solo outings.

You know I’ve Always been Right about these Things! You laughed at me when I said there’s no excitement for JL!

Are you happy about this though? Are you truly happy with the abysmal movies they are shucking out? I'm pissed that they are so bad. WW was alright, but the rest have sucked. After reading the reviews of JL, I havent even bothered to go see it. This is supposed to be DC's swan song and they screwed it up once again. No reason to spend money on that.

Why would they demote Geoff Johns? The one movie he had actual, real influence over is by far their best movie.

JFC WB, sort your shit out.

Yeah that’s very strange. Patty Jenkins has stated she wrote Wonder Woman with Geoff Johns. And the failure of Justice League is down to keeping Snyder on as director. Still Whedon and Johns seemed to have improved it a lot.

Grace Randolph seems to think Geoff Johns isn’t strong enough to stand up to the movie executives, which is a shame.

From what I've heard he was involved with JL. This movie is a massive failure and I don't think we can lay the blame squarely on a certain guy but when something massively fails the guys at the top suffer. He's a comic book guy not really an experienced filmmaker.

Johns don't really have any business in making movies imo, he shines at the comic book level though. Maybe he should just be the man who has the ideas and make sure everyting clicks.

I just find it sad how long it took them to fire Snyder, and how quickly they got rid of Johns.

Johns helped on the Wonder Woman script and Patty Jenkins liked his work enough to have him help on the story for WW2 as well.

Well JL is the first film to crack the 100 million mark in China with a 102.4 million and counting.

Now WB needs just to accept the boxoffice failure of this movie and move on and just make better recieved films.

WW was all Patty Jenkins.

Nobody's going to get anything productive done while WB continues to think it knows DC better than DC does.

But no, apparently ****ing Bendis is being brought in to work on scripts. It's like they want to fail harder or something.
