His involvement was limited, though. Most of the praise should go to Patty. Let's not forget that Geoff had a small hand in GL, too.
She's talked more than once about how much she worked with him. She might have made the final calls, but there's every indication that they came up with the movie together. Hell, they even reference a part from his JL reboot comic during the movie with the ice cream thing.
Geoff's script/story for GL was torn apart and turned in to the movie we got. He's suffered from not enough input, not too much.

She made all the important decisions. Geoff did help write the script, but it was an already existing story by Snyder and Allan Heinberg. The question is, how much influence did Geoff actually have?
If people like Snyder and Heinberg wrote the story that Johns came in and cleaned up, then that only makes it MORE impressive, imo. I don't want to think about what it was like beforehand, especially given Snyder's track record with DC movies.
Yes, he helped produce the movie, but didn't have as much involved as people like to claim.
Geoff is still working in the DCEU, though. Just as an advisory role.
I wonder how much of a role he really had on WW.

How can you say he didn't have much involvement and ask how much did he have?

No offence, but I'll take her word before anyone else's.

Man...I feel like I am from Bizarro world.Everyone saying MoS is bad when to me its the best film of the bunch. And I don't really get all the praise Wonder Woman gets. It's like the movie gets a free pass because it is not as bad as BvS/SS and because of ****.
Completely agree. I thought MOS was the best, mainly because it had both a good narrative structure and originality in tone. BVS was plagued with a horrible narrative structure, WW and JL were blatant MCU rip offs, and Suicide Squad was both narratively and tonally terrible. MOS is the only one that got the balance right IMO. I don't think it is a perfect film by any means, but I would put it up there somewhere in the 6-10 ranking of top 10 superhero films (conversely, BVS and Suicide Squad would have equivalent rankings on my top 10 worst)

How is WW an MCU ripoff?

She never said exactly what Geoff did. Just that they worked on the film together. Other than writing SOME of the screen play, what did Geoff do? Or what did she say he did?
She said they worked on the film together. If it was as small a contribution as you're suggesting, why would she even say that?
And isn't he writing the second movie with her? Or did that change?

I'm sure he was also an advisory and whatnot, but just because Patty thanked him for working on the film, doesn't mean it was a big factor. From what I have read, he just worked on the script, nothing more.
Yes, Geoff is still doing WW 2, from what I can tell.

Hmmmm.
Period Piece, World War (and the horrors of it), Germans with advanced tech being the enemy, very good looking naive hero out of place in time, a love interest that is a spy, a squad of misfit soldiers haphazardly put together to fight along with the hero against said Germans, love interest/best friend "dying" to prevent advanced German weapons from being used against allies, Bad guy(s) is deformed due to failed experiment and/or has physical enhancements from experimental chemicals, .
Holy cow, you might be right....
😛

They've both used the words "liked working together" on WW, or at least something very close to it. And with him working with her on WW2, the logical explanation for that is that they enjoyed collaborating on the first movie.
And if they didn't? Then WW missed out.

Well, I wouldn't call it a ripoff but it is incredibly similar to Captain America: The First Avenger.
I don't know if it would have been able to be done during WW1 without making it similar to CATFA.
Though in all honesty, I think it was a better war movie than Cap's one, as heretical as that might sound.

A) It was INCREDIBLY similar..again, I wouldn't say ripoff but lets face it, it wasn't just similar, it was like a mirror...
B) To each their own, I still like Captain America better and it had a better villain for sure.
Also, Cap came out years ago now so WW has the edge of newer technology and experience of comic book movies etc...
That all being said I think Patty Jenkins did a great job with WW; though I do think it's overrated by...alot.

If he didn’t do anything on the films this year then why’s he being demoted? Lol
He was promoted to joint head of DC films right after BvS’s failure so when work started on Wonder Woman (which he was already involved in).
The films that came out this year under Johns were head and shoulders above the films that came out last year under Snyder.
So WB keeping Snyder on through multiple failures, but then demoting Johns after the Massive success of Wonder Woman is outright laughable.
I mean if it’s because of JL, then are those retards gonna fire Joss Whedon as well? Lol
