I think it’d a good decision personally
The Conjuring universe are the best horror franchise existing today in terms of quality/box office, and It was a killer film
This guy might be a step in the right direction

Given James Wan and David Sandberg directing the next 2 Dc films, it’s really does look like WB is getting everyone from their horror franchises to jump ship and save DC.

Honestly if they’re changing direction this much, a reboot would make more sense.

I imagine the budgets might take a huge nosedive.

That’s good. They’re budgets were out of control. MOS and BvS had the budgets of Avengers films. And JL a lot more. And they still somehow wound up with cheap looking effects.
