I like William Dafoe. Good actor. His Green Goblin was great too.

First Simmons now Dafoe. Next they'll bring in Tobey Maguire...
Originally posted by Ridley_PrimeI never felt he was overacting at all. I feel like it was a vision of Raimi and Dafoe to play the character that way. I feel he acted exactly how he wanted to. He was actually pretty scary at times in that movie. I thought it was great. Keep in mind this is the Green Goblin....he's not exactly sane. I don't think I've ever seen a performance from Dafoe that I didn't think was at least good.
He was silly and overacting during most of his performance as Osborn/Goblin, which kinda added to the charm of his version of the character.
DC/Warners movies have a poor track record when they bring over someone who's already acted in a Marvel film. Halle Berry, Ryan Reynolds, James Marsden, Callan Mulvey, Tim Robbins 😄 ...Ben Affleck 😛 ...
Wonder why that is. Because actors who did a DC/Warners project then went to a Marvel one, have scored with great success: Ayelet Zurer in Daredevil on Netflix, Zoe Saldana & Djimon Hounsou in Guardians Of The Galaxy, David Dastmalchian in Ant-Man, and (it looks like it will be great)Tilda Swinton in Dr. Strange.
