Yeah this is my thoughts as well. The movies make money, and we are not talking about just doubling the money you spend. They made nearly 900 million off Superman vs Batman on a 250 million dollar budget. That's..pretty successful.

I would say its now more due to the fact that movies now get World Wide Release so close to a billion or so people can go see it on an opening weekend. Regardless of their fan status.

So far WB is the only studio to have two super hero movies to make above 300 M domestic in the same year. I think Disney/MCU will do that this year with GOTG and Thor.
I think Justice League will make 180-190 M OW. And finish near 400 domestic.

DCEU is just starting, baby. Avengers was an outlier, anyway. CW didn't even come close to those numbers, despite having Marvel's top dog, Spider-Man. 😄
And don't say hardly anyone knew about it. It was the most viewed Youtube trailer for a super hero movie.

It's a repeat of BvS, which means they're panicking again, which isn't a great sign.
It's not unheard of for a blockbuster movie releasing trailers in the same year. :/

Lol Age of Ultron is also above the numbers the DCEU can hit. And that was a sub-par movie.
And you know why? Because WB/DC haven't built the characters up the way Marvel did. And neither have they built the same level of goodwill, despite having massively more famous characters at their disposal.
Will see if this even gets to Civil War numbers. I personally doubt it though.

AOU is an Avengers movie. Of COURSE it's going to make more than what we had previously. Honestly, this is DC's FIRST Justice League movie. If it makes what I say it's going to make, it will rival AOU OW. Who knows what it'll make WW.
