You can not like it all you want, but fortunately the general audience dug it. Or movies like Suicide Squad wouldn't have had a higher multiplier than Civil War. 😛
WB would be over the moon if JL made Civil War numbers.
Like I keep saying, Marvel in its Phase I built up something very important. Goodwill amongst audiences. This film simply won't garner that excitement A1 did.
Wonder Woman is their last chance pre-JL the change that.
Maybe it's because I watch these movies at home (I hate going to the theater) but I just don't understand the hate these DCEU movies generate. Are they underwhelming, even disappointing (especially compared to the best Marvel has to offer)? Well, yes.
When I watch them at home, though (where we have a very good setup), if I don't like a movie I don't feel like I've been personally offended. I just drink some beer, wait for the next one and hope it's better.
And in my opinion, both WW and JL look like they have a chance of being good entertainment.

I certainly dont mind discussing the pros and cons of the projects online, but when no one (or the vast majority) even entertains the possibility of pros, it makes for a pretty crap conversation.

Yup.
Its like these guys get a share of the profits.
Well Zak likes comparing to Marvel, I'm just putting it in it's correct context, i.e. Audiences prefer Marvel right now.

Yeah the Hate's over the top. That I agree with.

So far WB is the only studio to have two super hero movies to make above 300 M domestic in the same year. I think Disney/MCU will do that this year with GOTG and Thor.I think Justice League will make 180-190 M OW. And finish near 400 domestic.
If Batman Vs Superman could make nearly 900 million then I would be shocked if JL only made 400 million.
Unless you are talking about a total of 400 for the opening weekend.

Fair enough, apologies.
I've just never subscribed to the money argument as i've literally never liked/disliked a movie based on how much its made.
Of course not. Look at the Transformers films.
But it gives an idea of the popularity of a franchise for sure. Marvel is such a huge thing today because of how much money their movie franchises make. Especially impressive given they had no big names to start off with.

He's talking about domestic figures.
BvS made aroun $330mill domestically.

I like that instead of just going in slowmo the way they could have, they're keeping it at normal speed and just showing us how fast he is.
i also like that his force is been depicted as actually being applied upon impacting something. Shit bugs the hell out of me on 'The Flash' when a speedster hits someone and they only go tumbling 3 feet.

I think anyone would be over the top if they made CW numbers. lol
I think JL will break November's record, at the very least. Over 1 Billion, IMO, which would be a success.
Following up BvS, there is no way it will make 1 bil. I actually think it will make less than BvS did. BvS got by on the names of Supes and Bats respectively. Despite that, the actual movie was subpar. People are going to remember that going in. It's like the reverse situation of Spiderman 3 making a ton just because it followed up Spiderman 2 despite the fact that it wasn't any good.
