Even if he swung the axe and cut the dragon's maw a bit, it's still an act of suicide, as there was still no feasible way for Van Zan to survive after he jumped from the tower towards an incoming dragon.
The dancing these two go through to make the object of their fantasy be "badass" is laughably sad.

😆 Holy shit! Are you saying that anybody who is in a position to escape and instead goes to take on the dangerous situation instead is suicidal or retarded? Wow, that is so stupid. You are trying you apply this like it's a general principle for anyone, when Van Zan's death was under extremely strict circumstances. Did your butthurt troll mind ever think, maybe, just maybe, Zan considered the stairway and thought"You know, I could attempt to climb down, but the dragon would probably burn down the building if I tried. Rather than waste my last moments trying to run and probably dying anyway, since the dragon could and more than likely would easily incinerate the building, I'm going to take my axe and use my last moments to try to harm this dragon that I've been obsessively hunting for years any way I can. Sure I'll die anyway, but at least I will have probably used my last moments to harm the dragon, thus making the most utility of myself, and thus dying with meaning, rather than running and more than likely dying meaninglessly"
It didn't work out that way, as he didn't harm the dragon, but that was his intentions. Not suicide, but trying to harm the dragon. You are a butthurt idiot if you interpreted the scene differently. Like I said, your dumbass opinion is irrelevant, because you are so blinded by bias you can't even comprehend the context of a death scene. Even someone who hasn't seen Reign of Fire and just watched that scene of itself wouldn't come up with the bullshit logic you did when you made this retarded thread. You are a moron, a pathetic moron, and a butthurt moron, who needs to be avoided since you obviously can't comprehend what's clearly happening in front of your own eyes. You're a mental Mr. Magoo. BTW, this means you based your entire argument on that one picture you have, without bothering to actually research the scene. Again, you prove yourself to be a butthurt troll whose opinion is irrelevant 😆
Indisputable. Van Zan wins with complete lack of effort.
Also, congrats on reaching page 13 of your butthurt spite thread, you trolling retard 😆

funny sir, but im not the one screaming and peeing my diaper here, as is illustrated by your diversionary tactic of personal insults. why are you so upset that you need to resort to such blatant brooding rage?
A person's who's suicidal is often not in a stable set of mind and therefore unpredictable. You have no basis to claim that Van Zan would just do the sensible thing here, as screen feats say otherwise.
Tell me, Lestov, when you watched RoF for the first time, where you expecting Van Zan to jump to certain death? I for sure wasn't. See: Unpredictable/Unstable.

😆 So this retarded butthurt thread is because you wanted to prove that Zan irrational suicide? 😂 Fine then. He did. Zan, who was caught up in the moment and pumping with adrenaline because he was face to face with a dangerous 40 ft flying fire breathing alpha male dragon that he's been obsessively hunting for eons, had a lapse in logic and committed irrational suicide rather than attempting to defy the odds and make a possible, but highly improbable escape. There, you got the answer you've so much wanted. Here's the rub, though. In order to get this answer, you made a butthurt spite thread and trolled it to 12 pages and 225 posts, and in the process, pretty much proved yourself to be a pathetic idiot whose opinion is irrational and irredeemably irrelevant. So enjoy your little technical victory, because it also comes with the prize of being an utterly worthless moron.
And Zan wins this pathetic thread /thread

To answer your question, I ask you watch the scene again.
Van Zan never considered the stairs, there's no hint that he even looked at the stairs and gave escape a thought.
He shot. Dragon cock-blocked him. He dropped to his ass. Watched the dragon fly away. Dragon turned around. He raged(like you often do) and jumped.

Merriam-Webster laughs at your clowny attempts. "It was a sacrifice!"Sui·cide
noun \ˈsü-ə-ˌsīd\a : the act or an instance of taking one's own life voluntarily and intentionally especially by a person of years of discretion and of sound mind
b : ruin of one's own interests <political suicide>
c : apoptosis <cell suicide>
2
: one that commits or attempts suicideBut go on and keep avoiding(cos you're a coward) that jumping off a high tower towards a fire breathing dragon wasn't certain death. Cry more.

So the one axe swing he would have had (but didn't take) was supposed to kill the biggest and baddest dragon of all the dragons? LoL, indeed. Cry more.
But yes, one can die in battle via suicide. Say a lone soldier willingly charging into an opposing army would be considered suicidal. Lestov has accepted the truth of Van Zan's suicide; you should too.

WTF is your argument here? The only reason he died was because his opponent was a giant dragon that could easily defend itself from him and his axe, and defended itself from his explosive arrow. The same circumstances clearly do not apply here. The fact that you are trying to act like they do in any fight he gets in whatsoever is pretty phucking retarded, even by you and Saddie's trolling standards.
