It's unfortunate that First Class, while not perfect, didn't sell as good as like the other movies. Then they might've actually taken wind of the fact we've had enough of Singer directing and Wolverine wankage.
I'll still give this film a chance though. Won't come in expecting too much, but am sure I'll at least enjoy the mindless action and stuff to a degree.

That would have been perfect. FC wad such a great movie too. Unfortunately though even the Wolverine solo movies made more. But I think that's down to Fox not generating enough hype for FC. Plus using Wolverine so much in the previous films that your general audience might have felt like "It can't a proper X men movie without Wolverine" and hence not given it a chance.
Also there were no big names in the movie aside from maybe Kevin Bacon.

Unless you've seen the script, you don't know that.
I haven't seen the script, but it's easy to know that.
Because they took an entire comic book arc, switched the characters up, and based it around Wolverine. When it easily could have been something more of a sequel to First Class than X3.
The same thing happened in X2 and X3. They introduce all these cool characters, but they get sidelined because it's so many of them, and Wolverine is the star.

Actually, X-2 wasn't bad. It had the best realized and competent story in all of the, X-men movies but I still think FC is the better movie. X3 just suffered from not having a good story.
I agree. X2 is my favorite of the X-Men/Wolverine films. But it was still Wolverine-centric, which is my point. The films are supposedly about the X-Men, but they end up being about WOLVERINE!!!! Oh, and the people around him...sometimes...ya know when he needs a moment to brood.

Wolverine was the ideal character to use to connect the two timelines, Juno is shit-level.
You don't know this movie will be Wolverine-centric.

I didn't say it was an X3 sequel. I said it would more resemble an X3 sequel than a First Class one.
They had plenty of other stories they could use. They could have even done something that resembled a sequel to FC. But they went with the DoFP storyline, altered it around and put Wolverine at the forefront.
You said it was an X3 sequel.
DoFP is the most interesting story they could use, especially with the actors playing future/past Magneto and Xavier. Because Wolverine is more interesting than Juno. You haven't seen the movie; you don't know how much it will revolve around Wolverine. You're wrong, I'm right, get over it.

That's not me saying it was an X3 sequel. I knew it was a FC sequel. Everyone knew.
That was me saying it resembled an X3 sequel more than it did a First Class sequel. You should have picked that up, but then again, you are you.
They didn't base it around Wolverine. The story isn't about him. Unless you think in the comic DoFP was based around Kitty Pride, I'll give you a hint, it wasn't. It's not really a sequel to anything, it's just a continuation of the x-men mythos.
How does it resemble an X3 sequel?
You said it was an X3 sequel. That part of this conversation is over.
