dunno why he didn't return. Maybe a scheduling conflict. His show "Boss" hadn't been canceled yet when DoFP started production.

Even though i loved Picard and Gandalf in those roles, i really hope this movie retcons them out of existence.

Joss Whedon: I think I can make Quicksilver really work in Avengers 2. I can find a way to make him shine and show people how cool he is as a character.

Bryan Singer says Deadpool is a possibility for future X-Men movies but he's not in DOFP when responding to a fan question.

Quicksilver will be a character in the 1970's portion of the film.

I'm guessing he won't be Magneto's son then..
