This thread is just full of gay right now, needs to be shut down

AG is buttfucking Stilt with a knife whilst Stilt is skull fucking AG

Hey, a good knife ****ing can do wonders for your prostate. It's all about staying healthy, man.

You can join after we're done with the warm-up.

Listening to the Covenant soundtrack some and it definitely sounds like a combination of Alien and Prometheus. The main Alien theme is used quite a bit and there are some freaky, odd noises like there was in Prometheus. But it also has moments that seem a little more pulse-pounding and intense than Alien and Prometheus. Can't wait..

Read one review, The person must have thought the Neomorph was part of the Xenomorph's life cycle.

Starts of slow but ends well. A gory and twisted sequel to Prometheus.

7/10

Good to know. Seems to be the general consensus.

The film opened in Europe to about $42 million. I'm a little confused as to how it compares to Prometheus, but I guess it's pretty good.

Love it...

Hope so, cos the last trailer bit whatever I saw it really looks like a heavy recap of the original (and best) film. A single alien hunting people on a ship while they fight for survival and there's some stuff to do with wheat.

Couple more good quotes...

"There are long sections of Alien: Covenant that amount to the best filmmaking Scott has produced in decades. By the standards of contemporary blockbusters, it's a very deliberate film."

"This is the third best Alien movie after the first two, but don't be surprised if repeat viewings kick it up a notch."

There's some similarities with the original but it's different enough being a sequel to Prometheus.

Sweet, don't mind some homages, but I did want a new/original film.

Had my heart broken when I learned the Engineers were not going to be a focal point, as we were lead to believe at the end of Prometheus

Me, too... crybaby

Well, I know listening to the score some already they straight up used the same theme from Alien. At times I actually thought I was listening to the Alien score. But there's some Prometheus-like moments, too, and it sounds like it might actually be a lot more tense.

I think after the complaints about Prometheus they decided to go in the more "Alien" direction.

^ Stupid bitches whining about something new and more interesting.

I can see that, but the Engineer wasn't really the problem, the first half of the film was good, had intrigue, suspense and we were getting lovely Alien mythology/story building. Then it went South, too much happening at once and it devolved into a pretty formulaic action/horror combo, the Engineer wanting nothing more than to assrape Shaw at the end was a bit silly, you'd think he'd have his priorities straight.

Still, David, Shaw and the story of the Engineers was good. I wanted the sequel to focus heavily on those three good traits.

Agreed. Prometheus had some cool ideas but absolutely fumbled in the execution. Not to mention, almost everything dealing with the magic goo was atrocious.

My only problem with Prometheus was some of the editing decisions. I think they should have had the extended "Engineer Speaks" scene in there and the scene where Milburn finds the first extraterrestrial life. Then it would have been a damn near perfect film. The set pieces, performances, and creature designs are incredible (and to me that's a huge aspect of the Alien films, much bigger than actually having xenomorphs).

Prom for me kind of fell into the "Its so Bad its Good" category. Best viewed with friends and while everybody is drinking and or drunk. Best when RIFF'ed.

I am willing to bet Alien Cov will be the same. It is also getting the Tiny Endorsement Treatment. Never a good sign.

There's a novelization for this movie.

yeah, I'll probably order and read that after I see the movie.

"Continuing to address the philosophical big questions about where we come from, Ridley Scott's prequel delivers on all counts with substantial terror offerings that involve slime and squirting blood to ensure gleeful cinematic repulsion."

Glad to hear that the film continues the philosophical meanderings. Also glad to hear it's bloody and disgusting... 😂

Nothing unusual about that. Heck I can recall back in the day when if you wanted to OWN a movie after seeing it in the theater...The only way to do that was to BUY the Novelization.
