and "they found SPIKE'S OLD ONE after they escaped Autobot city/Metroplex"..
He had uses of them for a LONG time.
Standard Transformers universe related equipment.
Anyway...it never mentions Metroplex or indicates even that Autobot city is Metroplex..
We just know that that is taken to be Metroplex because of the cartoon and comic.
(After all, If it was Metroplex in the movie why didn't he transform into robot mode and destroy the decepticons..? And why did Arcee need to manually transform him extensively on Magnus' orders..?)
When they made the movie, Metroplex (season 3 character who wasn't even orange like Autobot city is) wasn't made as a character. The movie was conceptualised during season 2.
Yet yes we retroactively assume that Metroplex is Autobot city in the movie.
And other humans are shown with exosuits too occasionally, IIRC. Granted, we never saw them transform though)
McClane is in the Transformers universe, (obviously since Unicron is here) and is combatting Unicron, its not incredulous that he has the Autobot's blessings and access to the exosuit, is it?
