I'm just trying to get somebody to establish a relatively objective set of benchmarks for Bill at this point and seeing if Kara has historically matched or exceeded them.

The troubling thing to me is not that this is turning into a Hulk versus Superman discussion, but that nobody is presenting anything to pin Bill's level down to something measurable and debate-able.

Let's put slightly more serious effort to addressing the match-up in the title of this thread. Just about everything I've contributed to this point deals with one of these questions, but it might be helpful to state now what some of those questions actually ARE ...

What is the average level of force necessary to knock Beta Ray Bill out?
Who or what has knocked Bill out before?
How much force was necessary to do it?
Were there other factors involved?
Can Kara replicate or exceed that level of force in the midst of a fight and/or recreate those conditions?

Well, while I agree Supergirl was once faster than Superman, and perhaps not by just a little bit, I'm not sure if, post-Crisis she can be fully credited with destroying a planet.

The reason I keep saying "possibly", "arguably", "apparently", etcetera in reference to the moon destruction of Legion of Super-Heroes #16 is because the story itself makes it somewhat ambiguous.

For the reason the authorities on Earth think it is Supergirl is because they can only get an image of ONE object.

In point of fact, however, there are TWO ...

... and it is actually the second SMALLER object that is Kara.

I used my qualifiers to give honor to whoever posted this in the Supergirl 2007 Respect Thread.
Think that posters named is Rorschach or something of the like.
That person credits Kara with the moon destruction.

That's a possibility.

It's equally likely however, that the Dominator missile is what destroys the moon.

In either case, it is an impressive thing we're looking at here.

If it IS Kara, well, she destroyed a moon, annihilated it, just by flying through it, with practically no loss of momentum, and no ill effects.

If it was the missile, however, well, the thing destroyed a moon with practically no loss of momentum and would have done the same to Earth.

And Kara stopped it cold.

With one punch.

Either way it's a very impressive feat.

Just not a particularly clear one.
