And this "critical thinking" you keep talking about is the reason why you linked to a page which you only read the title and then commented on how a bunch of people posted replies that agree with you 🙂

Except of course the name change had nothing to do with Superman's popularity or notoriety as pointed out to you 🙂

Sorry, Superman is still the most recognizable. Time to just deal with it.

no, it has changed. He is still up there but this generation is already exposed to marvel characters. Others agree and it's common sense anyways due to marvels success that things are changing.

I am not the only one who agrees too; apparently.

you clearly don't know what the word "bias" means.

I am objective ie I think Batman is better than the Captain America film. If I was as biased as you are acting I'd favor anything with marvel on the label.

you've said multiple times that you prefer Marvel and that you want Marvel to prevail over DC.

you have a general bias toward Marvel.

Your opinion isn't neutral.

I remain objective so just because I want marvel to prevail doesn't mean I will lie. Marvel is prevailing while dc had three solid Batman flicks. I give them their due.

every marvel movie was pure crap except for ironman1, and thats only because robert downey jr. every DC movie was pure crap except batman and dark knight.

Many disagree with your opinion. Box office dollars is the studios main goal not your opinion.

He thinks money made = film quality. Period.

Why he was balls deep over Beautiful Creatures until I showed him that it didn't really make any money and then like magic he thought the film sucked.

Many opinions disagree hence the money made. When movies make boatloads of cash it's due to many people enjoying the movie. Common sense ftw.

Thor was good. Cmon! never in a comic fans wildest dreams did we think we would ever see a Thor film. It had good comedy and action.
Of course a comic fan wants more from Thor. But I was happy with what I got.

Captain America was awesome! The script and characters were spot on.
Once again Cap in the eyes of a comic fan should have shown better action scenes but damn it was a good film.

Avengers was the perfect popcorn movie. To say it was crap simply means you're just hating.

Marvel had a good gameplan in acheiving an Avengers film but first needing to lay the groundwork with individual characters first. They made all the films tongue in cheek and succeeded.

Nolan Batman films set them back. They made money due to the basic "lets make Batman human" angle. But didn't make us believe such a Bats could be a member of a Justice League.

Man of Steel will rock. But it will be DC's first step in moving ahead towards a larger universe.

thor had its moments, but all in the form of humanizing comic relief which was the only thing that softened it up a bit and made it feel at least a bit organic. (i loved ironman1 because it excelled in just that) but overall lacked anything beyond predictable linear forced plot and generic cgi-spam action sequences.

The majority disagrees with you. Many loved it. The Batman films also dragged on.

Comic book geeks are the minority to make over a billion the general public embraced it. Common sense, dude.

They went with the Straczynski style of storytelling. Thor in a small town. But without the back story.
They had 2 hrs to show-
-What the Asgardians were.
-Thor as a punk that needed humility.
-Him being somehow degraded to having to live amongst humans in Midgard.
-A love affair with Jane.
-Loki performing a large scale threat.
And they not only gave us that but supplied good humor, threw in the Warriors 3 and Sif. And threw in an Excalibur sword in the stone style back story in relation to SHIELD for good measure.

The film rocked.

Nah it was decent film. I'm curious, what in your mind would have made the perfect Cap Origin movie?

Dude, it's a popcorn movie. An origin story of a team of characters already shown in previous films.
What did you want?
Comics are made for children and teens but are remembered with nostalgia by certain geeky adults. You have to watch these films in the mindset of a kid.
There is no way The Avengers would've been a deep and tragic tale like Watchmen.
Screw that.

Exactly he'd probably rather have something crappy like the Watchmen. Movie was terrible and boring.
