Batman: Arkham Origins

Maybe this has been mentioned here, but the PS3 version on BAO seems to be getting two outfits one being Adam West's campy Batman outfit and I forgot the other(smh) Though it seems it just PS3 exclusive.

It feels like Microsoft does not care about the 360 version of the game.

I believe your referring to the Azrael suit.

Yeah that's the one.

I just beat the game. That's how boss fights should be in Arkham games.

Spoiler:
The final encounter with Bane was terrifying. Man, that felt hopeless. I somehow managed to get him on my first try, but I was pretty sure that wasn't going to happen. The first fight with Bane was pretty amazing too.

Bane was perfect in this game. Too bad he took the advanced venom and made himself retarded. This was the most badass version of Bane I've ever seen.

Story wise, I thought it was on par with AC. AC had a better ending, but this one still delivered. Seeing how Joker started was amazing. I loved how Batman totally underestimated him at first and kind of wrote him off in favor of Black Mask and everyone else. I also loved when he made the connection with Batman after their first encounter were Batman saves his life. His voice actor was amazing too. He's a good successor to MH, although MH still had a certain charm Baker never really got perfect.

The only thing that kind of bugged me was that Black Mask totally got the shaft, and was kind of a weak villain. Joker made a better, more threatening Black Mask than Black Mask himself did. I can live with it because Black Mask isn't one of my favorite villains, but I was hoping for Joker to not be the main villain 3 games in row. AC gave him a perfect send off. His involvement in this game should have ended after he got sent to Blackgate, and the rest of the game should have focused on someone else. I still liked what they did, but it gets tiring how every villain plays second fiddle to Joker. Even Ras in AC had second place. I also thought that it was funny that Joker would have died by Banes hand so early in his career if not for Bats.

It also bugged me how Deathstroke got the shaft too. I thought he would have been more than a one time villain. I would have been more happy with him being the final boss than Bane. They're both smart tactical mercs with the physical edge over Batman, but I always considered Slade smarter than Bane. It should have been a game of chess between Batman and Slade. I did like his after credits scene though. It sets up the suicide squad. It could have functioned as a way to explain him not being in Gotham in future Arkham games, but it could also mean that they're setting up for a Justice League game from Batmans point of view. Maybe that's what Rocksteady is working on? One can hope haha.

So overall, I liked it more than Asylum, but less than City. City beat it out in every way except boss fights, though it didn't lose by much. Although it doesn't further the series at all, it's a good addition.

8.5/10

Haven't played it yet but looking forward to it, my favourite boss battle ever was definately the Freeze boss battle in AC having to use stealth and different methods to try and take him out. I remember doing it on the hightest difficulty setting and boy was the f*cker hard to take down cause the higher difficulty the more methods you gotta use.

Mmmm. I'm on the Deathstroke fight. It's not as good as the previous two installments but I thought those were some of the best games ever.

The graphics are notably worse than AC but everyone's saying that's a sacrifice of making the larger open world. Not really digging the new batsuit. Preferred the more comic book looks of the previous two. This one borrows too much from Nolan's films.

Also, the soundtrack is majorly lacking so far compared to AA and AC. Other than that, doesnt seem so bad.

I gotta be the second to Disagree, this Game actually feels like a Batman Game, Arkham City and Asylum were Great but the Content in this Game is superior especially since we have Access to the Bat-Cave, we couldn't do that in Asylum or City, and at least we don't have to Beat the Game to get our Pre-Order or Season Pass Skins, we can just go the Bat-cave and select them their, and theirs no Annoying Riddler Challenges cuz its all in the BAT-CAVE, and we can do all our Combat Challenges at the Bat-Cave, it just feels more like a Batman game to me and it makes Batman in the Future look kinda stupid in the sense that he couldn't just use the Bat-Wing to fly home and find a cure for Jokers Blood their, if Robin got into Arkham than how come Batman didn't, i mean that's what his Bat-wing was their for... to use it

And his Costume looks Better, he's in his Early Days so he's gotta Bulk Up on Armor so he doesn't get Riddled by Bullets, Bats, Swords and Heavy Hitters, so his Armor is Absolutely Necessary in the Situation he's in.

Overall i say the Game is Better than Asylum and City, not by a huge margin, but good enough. idk man it just Feels like a Real Batman Game

This game is good, but not great.

Just like the Nolan Batman trilogy, I rate the Arkham games, best to worst, 2, 1, and 3.

Meh it wasn't a suprise for me kinda expected him to get a major role besides I was too busy cheering how awesome
Spoiler:
Bane was...kicking Batman's ass on the rooftop then tricking him making Bruce come to his HQ and showing him he knew he is Batman then phucking up the batcave and killing Alfred in the process total badass.

I just got Injustice costume for beatin every challenge its pretty cool nothing special.76% completed from the Enigma process really wondering what's inside the room and off course cant wait to get the N52 outfit.

So the room contains

Spoiler:
the first riddle trophy

New 52 Batman is cool but not that great.

I'm at the stage where you've just defeated

Spoiler:
Copperhead
. How much of the story mode do I have left to do? I've been doing a lot of side missions, so I've racked up quite a bit of playtime even if that's not that far in to it.

TBH, I'm really liking this game. It might not be the same departure and improvement over City that City was over Asylum, but I still think Origins does a lot of things right (even over City at times).

You have about 4-5 hours left of the story.

Oh, that's good then. I needn't worry.

You still have like 3 boss fights left.

What? That's not fair.

It's a matter of preference. Alot of people like it. I don't dislike it. I just preferred the more classic look they were trying to go for in the last two games. In any event, I think the Arkham Batman is too massive and bulky. They also got to get rid of those forearm gauntlets already.

AA and AC didn't feel like real Batman games?

Probably two of the best things that EVER happened for the character. Both hailed by critics for their inventiveness and attention to detail. Warner Bros. Montreal is to be commended, for sure, but Rocksteady still deserves the lion share of the credit as they let them use their engine exactly.

Agree with you on the order of the games. Personally, I thought TDKR>BB but that's another conversation entirely. However, I do think Arkham Origins is closer to being called great than good. I just thought the first two games were truly amazing masterpieces and two of the best games of all time.

Like what?

Really hope that we will get a costume that is exactly like the one from Joker's nightmare about Batman.
Looks so badass!!

The 2nd one....wanna know how to get that...

How, to me it's 3 over 1 and Stalemates 2 IMO, I like City but it has Contiguity Problems, first Off since this game introduced the Bat-Wang and the Bat-Cave, i have to rase the Bar on why he didn't use the Bat-Cave or Bat-Wing when he was sick with the jokers Blood, he could have just went to his cave and cooked up a cure like Mr.Freeze did. second of all why didn't Batman use the some of his Gadgets that he has in this Game in Asylum and City, it could have made his challenges much easier. Third of all the Villains and how they Look, Bane in Asylum and City had a darker skin tone and sounded like Fred Tatasciore, to Origins where he is Lighter, acts and sounds like Bane how did that happen? and Deathstroke came from Wearing his CLASSIC COSTUME in Arkham City Lockdown to Origins, where he looks serious and is ready to take on 100 men with Battle Armor and all his Weapons, any Explanation?

I Believe it's safe to say that if This game was Released first, the Arkham Games Trilogy would be a Masterpiece, but since they introduced their best Introduction the Series last it messes up the story and Contiguity, and people are being nit-picky nostalgia fans. i have talked to all my friends and they say ITO it's better than City just because how right much it feels like a Batman Game. and it has Better Writing than City their for a Better Story, to me City was all over the place with the story, with Batman trying to find a cure and then he stops for all of this Random BS and other stupid antics, and it yet again takes a Dump on Batman's most dangerous Villain Bane and has the nerve to make him dumb enough to know that he cant shake the gates off or Punch them Hard enough that they fall over, but in Origins he punches Batman through a Wall, like come on Rocksteady, you cant downplay Bane like That. either way this game raises a lot of question towards the other two but i like this one a little bit more than City
