Don't remember the names of the gadgets, but aside from having shurikens that are basically substitute batarangs, and Wayne kinda having his own version of Robin's zip kick, he's got this one bomb gadget that'll make himself temporarily invisible for a few seconds, even if used in front of an enemy, allowing you to go right behind an armed thug for a silent takedown. Adds to the whole ninja theme Initiation's got going on.
Other than that he's nothing too special, but still fun to use once you get the hang of it with him I guess, and Shiva's a bit more challenging too than in the main story, so there's that.

Apparently the Hunter/Hunted mode that I talked about some earlier (last man standing kind of thing with no respawns) has been added to the multiplayer now (it's free from what I understand). Also currently a double credit/XP weekend or something along the lines of that going on, in addition to another extra weapon being released recently (light machinegun I think).
Hopefully the online will be quite a bit more active now with all this. Still waiting for a trailer on the expanded story DLC though that's said to come out next year.

Looks like Freeze may be going after a big diamond of some sort. Hoping to see how he takes over the GCPD though, thus leading up to the events of Arkham City.
