Who is "The Man"?? Thor or Sentry

Started by Silent Master3 pages

While powerful, the Sentry just doesn't have the strength of character to ever be "The Man".

I think if worked right by Marvel... Blue Marvel could be that man.
Also be cool to give a black hero such a high rank ...

Agreed Blue Marvel would be the man if Marvel ever decided to run with Adam. Sentry has the power but not the brains. Thor has the power but not the charisma points for the job. Captain America on the other hand has all that would be needed, but not the power.

Agreed. Blue Marvel has it all.

Plus, him pressing on as a hero despite his most poignant moment being his country turning on him when they found out he was Black would be a great commentary on the true nature of heroism.

Blue Marvel: Adam Legend

He be like Obama, but with super powers...
Meaning keeping up with the times.. Black Pres, Black top tier Superhores..
This is ment in a good way..

Sure, Sentry is more like Superman with respect to power set. However, Thor's character and story actually lines up with Superman quite well, IMO.
Both are from distant places, yet both feverishly protect Earth's people.
Both are noble.
Superman has Lois. Thor has Jane.
Superman has the nerdy journalist alter-ego. Thor had the nerdy Doctor alter-ego.
Both are gay.
They are both one of the most powerful heroes on their respective planet.

from what the op means....sentry is easily the winner here...he is marvels superman...even when he goes evil everybody loves him

sentry sits infront of his computers and watches the world so he can save people...does more saving then superman does

Retroactively making someone a Superman is kind of a bad move, imo. Not to mention so incredibly forced.

Good lord.

Last time I checked, Sentry didn't have a movie.

So Thor.

So what you're saying is that Blue Marvel would be a Deceitful, Gay, Racist, Muslim, Socialist? That's a bit of an overload now don't ya think?

SENTRY FTR

Yeah, don't start that shit in here.

Yeah, I know politics and religion right?

😂

By all rights, Blue Marvel was a more interesting "Superman archtype" (not just because he was black) than Sentry. His insertion into the Marvel U was also way less convoluted as well as having less of an impact on other characters in a negative fashion.

One character is dead because the other killed him. And because he went crazy and tried to kill a bunch of characters.

Lol at this even being a question

Might as well ask who the go to man is between Wolverine and a Sentinel

No place on this forum.

And before you start bitching about it, I'm catholic.

It was suicide on Bob's part. He's dead because he chose to be. Let's not kid ourselves into thinking Thor had the power to kill him.
