Star Trek reboot vs. Star Trek original

Unless Into Darkness has some sort of uber ship that can't be destroyed, this is pretty much a spite thread against the Reboot.

They're a century behind tech wise (bar the Narada, and that isn't beating a borg cube), and their best weapon, red matter, is horribly unsuited to combat situations.

So yeah, unless Into Darkness can shift the tide somehow, they get wiped out. Hard too.

Spoiler:
the only powerful ship is one where Adm. Marcus uses.. it is of black design however if you look closely it resembles the Enterprise D
but that ship would still lose to the Borg as well as others

I know how capable the ships in the first movie were. And how powerful the original universe ships are. so i'd say i'm actually ahead when it comes to total knowledge.

Feel free to continue dodging the question, though. I'm sure there's some wonderfully powerful ship in the sequel that will tip the balance, otherwise you wouldn't keep arguing that the reboot ships could possibly win, right?

Nothing in the first movie could win this, so there must be something else.

No, you aren't since you clearly don't care about reboot universe. That is my territory now. Ship that Khan eventually took over but that is besides the point that in the original Nero's ship was on another level. Took out 40 + Klingon enemy ships and was well beyond the Enterprise.

They also have two black hole type cannisters or what not to bring into play here. With what we see of the Borg on screen Khan himself would destroy them all after he got on board.

Downplay tactics for Data and the Borg.

Incorrect. You don't know which film, since you've not seen any of the OS and TNG ones.

I see you finally googled The Scimitar and gleaned it can cloak and are now employing downplay tactics 🙂

Saw all the films. Data wasn't a badass in any of the films so please ask honest questions where there is an answer.

Nero's ship was far more formidable on screen despite your wanking.

I have posted feats.

No, you haven't.

Yes, I have.

Do you think that's a retort in a debate. LOL.

I was about to ask why you make threads if you're not actually going to debate in them, but we both know the answer already: Baiting.

So don't worry about it.

And anyway, I'm pretty sure as a trek fan I have more appreciation for the reboots than a casual like you. That's just imo, though.

Want to debate a battlezone with you repping Data versus my reboot Khan ? Lets see you accept a challenge for once.

Nope. I saw it at midnight and will see it again. Love the reboots unlike you original fans clinging to the past.

challenge (n): endurence of quanchi's endless dodge/cry/rage/downplay/gimpfest for 50+ pages of "who gets the last word".

There will be a time limit like a week or so you are wrong.

Clearly you haven't, hence your blatant ST ignorance you consistently show.

Nero's ship was not and would decisively lose to The Scimitar, which could obliterate the Narada (a mining vessel) and the crew of the Narada would never know what exactly they were facing. If you had watched ST:Nemesis, you'd know exactly what I was referring to, but since you haven't, drown in your ignorance 🙂

I have. Overrated and Neros ship ate the other ships for breakfast. Massive size and one little pod and a singularity say otherwise. Reboot wins.

Stop lying.

Nero's ship did well cos it was from the 24th century, dummy.

The Scimitar is a full war machine from the 24th century with about x5 the armament of any other ship, double shields, a "perfect" clocking device and a weapon that can strip a planet of all life in a few seconds, let alone a starship. Now thank me for illuminating your ST ignorance once again 🙂

You forgot to mention that it can fire it's weapons while cloaked.

I did quote "perfect" clocking device, but yes, Quanchi wouldn't have known the reference/meaning since he's not seen ST: Nemesis or any other of the OS and TNG films.

Neros ship looked far better on screen. Different universes so progression is different.

Now thank you for illuminating your Trekkie ignorance, fairweather fan.
