You're not the first to say this... Far from it.

But I can't see Disney killing of a kid who is also the main character of a series.

They'll probably go with some lame reasoning, like him turning away from being a Jedi and boom! He's safe and it doesn't contradict what Yoda said, cause apparently all it takes to not be a Jedi is to say you aren't one.

Which begs the question, why didn't the Jedi just say they weren't Jedi to save themselves from Order 66?

Ezra would then probably appear randomly later, like post ROTJ and join Luke's NJO! Ya know...like how all those other Jedi did in Legends, they just popped outta the woodwork!

I think it's a fine excuse. Though, I do hope Kanan bites the dust.

I don't, he's my favorite character of the Ghost crew lol

He is mine as well. By far. But he is Jedi through and through, and I feel that he needs to die before the series ends.

And Ezra should be the one to kill him.

Yesh. Before becoming Snoke. 🙂

He's not as old as Dooku was.

Is Obi Wan as of A New Hope?

Because Rebels is supposed to be only five years before that.

Either way, Maul doesn't exactly look decrepit yet. More or less seems the same as in Clone Wars, so no idea how Kanan knew enough to call him "Gramps".

Edit: Found a table.http://www.yodasdatapad.com/ages.html

Oh wow, Obi Wan WAS ONLY 57 WHEN HE DIED?? Would have sworn he was pushing 70.

Which is about how old Dooku was. And looks like Maul was 32 by episode 2, while Obi Wan was 35 at the time.

So yeah, I could see Maul being early 50's. It's kind of hard to tell just by looking, though..

Obi Wan has terrible genes

Blind character are always cool that's why.

As for the show being too weak to stand on its own, I’m not sure why that’s such a common criticism. Building off what the films and TCW gave us is the smart thing to do. Plus, TCW was entirely dependent on the films yet no one ever criticizes it for that.

Different conceits, though. TCW was set snugly between two movies and was entirely about a war covered by the movies involving high profile characters.

SWR comes up with ass-pulls to involve movie and TCW characters because it's pretty weak without them.

I was hoping they would show more character development for the inquisitors or even have a full episode just about them. I really feel like they wasted them; they had the potential to be interesting villains. The Star Wars Rebels (exclusive) villains need more depth.

Why did I think Mace was older? And Palpatine is younger than Qui-Gon? Huh.

^ Are any of those ages actually official?
