Deflecting blasts takes speed, quan. Or precog, whichever. Just by deflecting his blasts Obi proves he's faster than Jango's guns. Thus Yoda is also faster than those guns, and is faster than Khan. So Khan gets his own blast in the face.

The ability to do something well is the definition. These guys have expertise with the sabers. If they were extremely slow they wouldn't be skilled with them.
