That happened later. He was oneshotted early on and doomsday completely no sold his punch. Bloodwynd was more powerful than regular MM anyway.

Yeah he does. He has a history of lowballing Doomsday quite a bit as well. He also secretly hates Superman.

I know Bloodwynd has a Ghost Rider Penance stare type of attack, so that could be useful. But he didn't impress me THAT much.

Doomsday was only abe to hit Superman once he got close and because Supes was stupid enough to be directly in front of him. Superman even stated that Doomsday lept rather than flew and that "it's at my mercy where inertia is involved". If it would work for Superman it would work for Bill.
Superman's mistake was allowing the fight to stay on the ground most of the time. If the writers hadn't intentionally been trying to kill Superman, the JLA and Superman would have taken out Doomsday no problem using the same strategy the X-Men have used against Juggernaut, just keep him off his feet.

Like I said, not exactly. Doomsday was able to fight a flying superman just fine with leaping. Also you are dismissing BRB's own CIS. Show me where Bill fought like you are describing. Its not you in BRB's body. Also Doomsday was totally unhurt even when superman punched him literally hundreds of times. Superman would turn Bill into paste with so many blows.

He couldn't even hurt Doomsday with all those punches.
