Do I get a single 2-post post? To make up for things? Because your ruling is fine, it'll prevent it in the future, but the ruling gave Abhi a 70K character limit in our thread, and me a 50K limit. It's unfair.

Technically I should get two of those to be completely equal, but I'm only asking for one, to make the limits 70/60 in Abhi's favor.

We need a bracket update also, I think.

you're right about that match. it has turned into something out of the x-files. judges decisions will be interesting and may in fact be precedent setting. hope the judges (whoever they are) talk to curry about what was and wasn't supposed to be allowed. that thing is a mess.....

And damn, Leo, I was right about betting on you. After seeing you in action I still think that yours odds are the best.

Edit: I can see what's being discussed, I'll get to it, though I really did wish you would just debate and not get too caught up in the rules. They're not what this tourney is about. Still, I'll make some calls.

Also, I really have to say that I'm learning a lot about running tourneys and such. There might be some inherent (and partially unavoidable) complexities when running an amalgamation tournament, but it seems that the rules are really-really important.

Like I just explained through PMs now, all of the stuff that has been allowed has been allowed for a reason. The stuff that might seemingly be inconsistent with the rules, has already been thoroughly discussed and explained in PM.

With Leo's match, like with Digi's amalgam earlier, people casting doubt on something that I had allowed basically starts this process;

1. It partially lessens people trust in my competence as a Tourney Host.

2. It temporarily makes me doubt my own decision.

3. It forces me to dig through 40 pages of PMs to find the messages where said decision was discussed, and the participants explanations (All of which have been satisfactory).

4. It diverts attention away from the actual Amalgam vs Amalgam debate, the very focus/purpose of this tournament.

5. It seeds dissatisfaction between the participants in the sense that the one who voiced a concern/complaint does not get his way, and the other participants feelings towards the actual business of complaining.

6. It creates a mess for the judges.

Please trust in the decisions that I have made and know these two things;

- Every participant has already explained everything to me very thoroughly.

- I have made no decision without carefully considering them first.
