Yeah, the Sun's Song has the effect of causing the sun to rise and also stuns all undead in the area. Wind Waker's Song of Passing does the same, and Ganondorf can override it with his own sun control.

Here we just have the Light Spirits incinerating vampires.

Midna can go in the sun just fine, but the Light Spirit's light still hurt her. Link's got mental protection, and feats of resistance.
