The Official "Argue with Quan about Zelda" Thread

He never told us he was the hero of time.

We just knew that he was a hero too.

Who is the most frequently mentioned hero in the zelda franchise?
For a guy who died never being known, the guy is sure talked about a lot.

In the Adult timeline, maybe. He was the inspiration for Outset island's tradition of green tunics. Which then became the standard guard uniform of New Hyrule, funnily enough.

But in the Child timeline, the one he actually lived out his life in, he was a complete unknown since Ganondorf was caught early.

Thus the bitterness made him grow tall and gifted him with speech.

His skin repels castle busting spears, a bullet is nothing.

We see him hit.

When it makes the conscious choice to accept Link as its master. Also, the front page shows you a godamn picture of the spirit of the sword, don't even try denying this point. haermm

So, we know it's sentient, do you know what that means?

That was in giant gloating head form and we have seen Midna kill without even effecting the body until death.

Due to Link's goodness. That's how it works.

Yes, but the there is no proof it is here.

You're dodging the questions again.

When after mid game did Midna do anything selfish? Do you agree that she become a better person through exposure to Link?

She made better choices due to selfless actions. It depends on what characters do which influence her actions.

Link is a hero regardless as Dorf is a villain regardless.

I don't know what question you're answering, but it isn't the one I asked.

When, at what point in Twilight Princess after Zelda's sacrifice, did Midna take an evil, or even selfish action? What action did she take? How was it evil or selfish?

I asked you to provide an event; a time or place in the game Twilight Princess, that Midna performed an evil or selfish act. Provide proof that Midna has, in fact, done anything evil. At any point, even. You have not yet done this. So, what are you basing your opinion on? There must be something you have in mind when you declare Midna half evil. What is it?

I never said she did anything truly heinous although using Fused Shadows isn't a good thing I o.

When she did not care about Hyrule, Link, or Zelda initially as she wanted to use them for her own personal gain.

So...you have nothing? No reason to believe post-sacrifice Midna is evil aside from being a meanypants? Am I understanding this right? (Again, Link uses evil power too, so that can't be it.)

As for Midna before mid game, do you think redemption is impossible or something? Do you really think Midna did not change and become a better person over the course of the game?

It depends on the actions of those around here.

It was all based on selflessness of the characters around them.

Is that a "yes" I just read?

Yes, Midna became a better person because of Link and Zelda?

She has both characteristics inside of her but based off their selflessness she cares for them.

Does she have any dominant negative traits after Zelda's sacrifice?

Thereby tilting the balance in favor of good?

It is dependent on the actions of the people around her.

Still a grey character capable of both actions.

So while hanging with link, she's a good guy?
