Go away Quan.

Its created via magic and is formed from Ganon's magical energies, therefore it is made of magic.

You realize that the fire would be similar in temperature to the lightning causing it since they were still touching and would thus be similar in colour, yes? Not that it even matters in this picture since we're looking at the work of someone with an art degree, not a physics degree,'s rendition of lightning. Also, inb4 you claim that's a magic floor made of magic because it's on fire.
I don't realise that, partially since we can see that the 'lightning' is melting the floor, not setting it on fire in the middle. This would indicate that the orange part of the 'lightning' is hotter than the blue part, contrary to actual temperature distinction. It doesn't take a physics degree to know that white-hot is hotter than orange-hot.
Secondly because as I said floor tiles don't set on fire, they melt.

Nope nope nope. Henceforth I'll be using 'magical' to prevent this kind of word play. Ganon isn't a green lantern. The things he creates are real, not constructs. This can be seen in his minions.
Yes, yes, yes. That's why your examples of 'lightning' are strange colors so often. Because they're not real lightning. Yes, the things he creates are real things. They are real, magical constructs.

Indeed, you're the one claiming it behaves the exact same as lightning. Therefore it is your burden to prove.
You made the claim, you prove it.

He isn't intentionally making it slow. 🙄

You're arguing he can create thunderstorms that cover the entirety of the Great Sea, but not a single bolt of lightning. haermm
Creating thunderclouds that become statically charged to the point where they overpower the insulating properties of the atmosphere and create lightning, is not the same thing as creating the lightning itself. The thunderclouds create the lightning independently. Ganon himself has nothing to do with it at all. You might as well argue that because he can create a duck out of thin air then he can also create feces out of thin air, because ducks create feces.

Ganondorf is capable of creating lightning, we've seen this in aLttP and Oot.
He's never made true lightning. Deal with it.
Originally posted by ScreamPaste^Interesting, this looks like forked lightning to me.
'There is a very real difference between electrical discharge/projected electricity and actual lightning striking from the sky.
Even if he is blasting magic lightning or electricity, that doesn't mean it's at real deal lightning speeds.
Do you understand? You can't just say it's lightning speed when you can't prove it.'
Also its clearly ball lightning, for the thousandth time.

Huh, all right, it takes more than one frame. I didn't catch that watching it. To me it just looked like flashing lightning in different shapes.Regardless, what's being rendered here is still fairly obvious.
Indeed, the fact that it flashes multiple colors that lightning is not known to be obviously means that whats being rendered here is some form of magical attack, not true lightning.

Uhm, wat? Just gonna ignore Ganon's own word on this, huh?
Him being his alter-ego and Ganon possessing him is not exclusive. When you defeat Anagram for the second time Ganon flouts out of his body and flies away as a bat. They're obviously not the same person.

Even discounting this it's just tertiary. We still have art of Link doing it, it being in Ganon's powerset, and no counter to them playing tennis with it in OoT.
Concession accepted. Although the artwork is also ambiguous to the point of being completely useless in proving anything. It obviously isn't lightning and we don't see Link actually reacting to it. He could have already had his sword up before Anagram attacked.

Goht's is ambigous, Barinade and Ganondorf's are not. Ganondorf's gets an in game distinction between itself and similarly functioning magic.
'Ambiguous?' Its ****ing green. Green lightning isn't real lightning.
Barinade uses static electricity that moves in slow-columns and Link doesn't ever have to dodge so it proves nothing about Link being a lightning timer. Countless people fight opponents wielding lightning without being lightning-timers. Batman for one. Its the same way that people in gunfights aren't bullet-timers.
BLUH BLUH Ganon.

Except what we're looking at is magic lightning. Which Ganon creates, y'know, with his magic.
Thank you for agreeing with that. It makes it impossible for you to ever prove your point. 👆

You have not once proven they are not lightning. If it looks like lightning it's what? Fish?
Well if its a different color to actual lightning then its likely not really lightning unless stated otherwise.
If its in the form of a ball then its clearly ball lightning.

Cole specifically uses special attacks with lightning that behave in specific, non-arching-electricity ways.I don't even know who Azula is
and we don't have anything in Zelda that shows Ganon's lightning as inferior to naturally occuring lightning.
So of your three examples out of this huuuuge phenomenon in fiction (lel) only one of these can't be easily accounted for off the top of my head, because I don't know who Azula is.
Not once is Ganon's lightning shown as being inferior in universe.
He does actually. As Kessler if not anywhere else.
😮 You don't know Azula??? B-but I'm sure I've seen you talk about Avatar before! Why would you not watch Avatar: The Last Airbender, it is amazing!
Yes, they are examples. I can't honestly list every time it occurs in fiction
Not once is it shown to be as fast as lightning either. In fact, there is no evidence for it being that fast AT ALL barring your own desperate belief that it is.

It came out of his hands, of course it is magic, but to sum up your argument:"ZOMG IT FLASHES"
Uhm, yeah, lightning attack flashes.
IT FLASHES GREEN. Have you ever seen real lightning flash green?
It isn't real lightning.
The only thing it resembles IS a bolt of lightning. It's sparking, it's bright, and I guess the presence of dark clouds means there is no ****ing way lightning could be nearby.
No, it resembles a magical beam. Have you ever seen lightning sparkle like that? Lightning doesn't go around holding sparklers, watching the fireworks.
And the 'lightning' is coming out of Anagrams hands smart guy, why would storm clouds be anywhere near? Theres white lines all over it and doesn't look like a cloud or smoke at all. Its much too flat.

One to produce lightning, yes? Which is what we see, arching all over the place, giving off heat and light?
It has the same shape, but there is way too much wrong with it to be actual lightning. Its 3 different colors, blending together like some psychodelic wetdream.

Or someone with eyes and the ability to distinguish colors.

So to simplify:
If both apply WW Link wins.
If only one Gin wins, but it's a fight.
If neither, Gin stomps.
If Link properly utilizes the Deku Leaf he stomps. We agree here?

...you and your Leaf lolYes, depending on those What-Ifs these would be the outcomes.

Because we all know BloodRain is the final word on a matter. uhuhThis thread is still more interesting than any between you and Quan...when he doesn't feel the need to stick his head in here.
Also, I don't really argue with Quan, I just point out the various ways in which he is wrong. shrug

BR was the only one really discussing it with me. If the only two people discussing something agree the discussion ends. haermmAlso, I don't really argue with Quan, I just point out the various ways in which he is wrong. shrug
Not true because a discussion is not limited to only two people at a time. Many can join at any time. Don't be a coward. estahuh
Nah you argue with him. The fact that he isn't particularly good at it is irrelevant.
That discussion was only two people, how many it can be doesn't matter if only two people happen to actually bother.Nah, you can't argue with someone who doesn't have any intention of even reading your posts, lol.
Clearly not since more people are bothering now.
Yes you can. It just means they're not doing a very good job.

so basically the fight goes like this:Gin: "You're such a toony little loser!"
Which meant Link isn't as fast as he thinks he is.It meant you disagreed, which has no bearing on whether it's correct, or the concensus that was reached because it allowed for either scenario.
Again, that is a separate discussion which was had after this thread was resolved. Arcing electricity by any other name moves just as fast.
