Thor vs A Planet

Never said it was an asteroid. U should know better than to use wiki as definitive proof.

I always thought it was a planetoid/moon since it seemed to produce "normal" gravity with earlier scans.

1. Fairly certain Thor can bust a planet, as can any high herald
2. People get overly emotional and the attacks on ZopZop are OTT
3. Zopzop asking for proof isn't really "idiotic", given how people quibble over e-ve-ry feat when it comes to characters they do not like
4. People could have cut this thread down to a page by simply posting the scans, instead of taking shots at him

Hold it right there..

Let me ask u... Do u believe without a shadow of a doubt, that Thor has the capacity/power/strength to bust a planet or wich ever wayy u wanna call it only using his Gorr fight and the destruction of the giant portal with Bill..?

Well look at the size of it relative to the combatants. It's either an asteroid or the artist failed his linear perspective class.

Fact is it was not the same object in the first picture that Igniz posted.

You wouldn't wanna go down that route. I can show u a bajillion scans showing a planet especially earth not shown properly to scale.

With what ure saying, they all failed linear perspective class...
🙁

Apparently so.

Going by the looks of it though, it's either a tiny moon or an asteroid.

This low balling needs to stop, Thor can busted a planet end of story!!

The phrasing of that is amusing, because it's true but from another point of view. Here, I'll rectify it a bit:

He can only if you look at the Gorr fight. Otherwise, generally, no, he cannot.

The rampant butthurt "quibbling" being commonplace does not, in any way, justify the lengths they go to do it. It's insulting, counterproductive and just about the only thing it possibly contributes to KMC is web traffic.

To be fair, an object doesn't need to be as large as the Earth in order to produce normal gravity on its surface. At least that's what the physics equation tells us about gravitational attraction between things.

And isn't it pretty much a staple of comic books to completely ignore the different gravity that different planets should theoretically have?

Didn't read 15 pages of comments.

I believe given the stipulations in the original post, Thor can do it.

So lemme summarise.

Thor hit Gorr really hard.
The result was planets and moons Thor did not touch directly breaking apart.
We are given explicit narration and shown several times that Thor is hitting Gorr really hard.

People doubt Thor could bust a planet with a direct blow, meant to bust said planet? Hm.

Earlier in the run there was a statement about Mjolnir being able to crack planets like pebbles or something. I'll go see if I can find it.

And also this:

Other than that I just dropped in to say that the use of gifs in this thread suck.👇
Leave the reaction gifs to me 👆 😎

It being just an asteroid is highly doubtful. It's spherical in shape and looks to go on for quite a bit. It's in the range of a planetoid or the very least a moon.

Thor can bust a planet if he doesn't hold back. He probably doesn't do it often because of how dangerous it is. He freaked out when he realized that moon that he cracked had life on it.

You realize there are spherical asteroids don't you?

Yeah....
Not spherical...

On a planet, or even a small moon, you wouldn't be able to see the curvature of the surface.

Also, sizes/proportions are pretty well shown in the scans. There's no reason to try to make it something it's not.

Those smaller than about 300 kilometers across have irregular shapes because their internal gravity is not strong enough to compress the rock into a spherical shape. The largest asteroid is Ceres with a diameter of 1000 kilometers. Pallas and Vesta have diameters of about 500 kilometers and about 15 others have diameters larger than 250 kilometers.

IF I was that sure, I wouldn't have said "fairly certain", I am not and so I did not. I have to say that the evidence is strong that he clearly has the power to do so. It would be quite amazing if it was ever stated that he couldn't, give the kinds of fights I've seen him in (Hulk, Surfer etc).

I haven't read the Gorr story, but everything I've seen (aside from the recent bout of self-KO/flash-KO feats that he's suffered) implies that he can and would if necessary bust a planet to pieces.

Well you could ignore him if you feel that strongly, but the derision is just OTT for frankly less than a typical Abhi or sin-i-am kind of performance.

I don't know his agenda but, after 14+ pages I think it's time to quit the attacks.

Err.. It was a pretty simple question. Again.. With those two pieces of evidence aforementioned, does he have the capacity to bust a planet? In ure opinion... Pretty much a yes or no.

Lol whut? Where is this relevant?

No, it was a loaded question. You wanted either to dismiss Zopzop's right to ask the question by getting my assent that yes the evidence is strong enough to be proof or to attack me for not sharing your opinion.
