I don't understand the whole theory of fans sticking together.
You want to be a real fan? Read the character and make up your own mind of what happened in his history/that particular feat.
I like Thanos just as much as Quan, but I sure as shit am not about to agree with half of what he says... For example: Gundam hates Carver with a passion previously reserved for Adolf against the Jews.
I see the mob mentality with Thor fans and Superman fans. Pre 'one guy' (for Superman) both used to be lets say fountains of knowledge for their characters. Annoying, absolutely, but you could usually trust what the whole "mob" had to say. Now the balance has shifted, and Thor fans are looked with more trust among these boards, while Superman fans are looked upon with extreme distrust. And it's not like Thor fans aren't just as character centered as the Superman fans either.
Sticking together would be alright if you stuck together on logical conclusions of what happened in a feat. But sticking together on what some would call "laughable" interpretations isn't the best way to go upon it. The fan base needs to gain more individuality as opposed to the hivemind view to move away from being a laughing stock on the forums.
They'd still be hated like Thor fans are by some, but the shift has made Thor fans look vastly better by comparison. Which is why the board might seem way more Marvel based than it is in some of these threads as opposed to just sticking with the lesser of two evils.
Just my opinion anyway. No one cares so carry on.
