Nah, the Nolan trilogy grossed more dollars than the Iron Man trilogy did.
Batman lost steam as IronMan gained momentum. Also, batman was an icon and IronMan has stormed onto the scene.

Batman didn't loose steam, each film grossed more than the previous did.

Yeah when the heck did Batman lose steam?

One IM movie grossing more doesn't make IM bigger. In fact if you account for ticket prices you'll probably find more people went to watch TDK and TDKR anyway.

If IM can make over a Billion again, then you can make that claim. But for now Batman's still No. 1.

Batman has made big money with multiple actors, I'm curious to see if Iron Man can do that because let's face Downey Jr. is the man.

Good point. Probably not. But then let's face it, without Nolan the next Batman won't make a Billion either. But still probably more than an IM without Downey. Because your right Batman IS the bigger franchise not being dependant on any particular actor..

Nolan's Batman is the highest grossing trilogy in super hero genre, which will probably be surpassed by the Avengers, which IM couldn't do.

As for the next Batman Superman movie, I think it will do a billion. It's a marketing team's wet dream. MOS could have done more money if it was released at a better release date and was better. Seeing that Affleck is going to have a hand in the script, I think it's only going to improve.

The release date is on the 17th, which doesn't have as much competition as MOS did.

I'm extremely disappointed, especially when they could've had someone like Scott Adkins.

Agreed. Couldn't Ben be Green Lantern or Aquaman? 😬

In Goyer, I don't. Fortunately, Ben will have a hand in the script, so I'm all for that. 👆

Agreed.

Mark Wahlberg and Matt Damon. 😎

I guess Matt Damon/Ben Affleck chemistry will be there, but I don't know if I want him as Aquaman.

They're basically just trying to grab as many high-profile actors as they can. Mad grasp by Warner Brothers.

Bryan is one of the only available actors that make sense. Marc Strong would be good, too, but he already played Sinestro.

Implosion forthcoming.

"The only choices they have?" Really? Is there a shortage of white male actors who look decent bald in Hollywood?

There's probably a thousand small time/unknown actors who would love to do the roll and would do it well.

That comment just re-affirms my point. WB are rushing these movies, and relying on star power is one of their strategies. They're going to throw as many big names at this franchise as they can.

Sounds like you're just complaining to complain.

Sure, Bryan Cranston may be a big name, but he will do an excellent job as Lex.

Don't think i'd go THAT far, tbh.
