Yeah but those past films are quick to set up a world where is believable you have all these strange and supernatural or science fiction characters hanging around.

E.g. X-Men is a world full of mutants. So you can have random mutants popping up as cameos. LOTR takes place in Middle Earth. STAR WARS in a Galaxy far far away.

But when a superhero film takes place in modern day Earth and is going to introduce lots of super heroes/villains all with different origins and do it in 1 film, then things tend to get messy.

Spiderman 3 (even TASM2 to a degree) and heck even X-Men 3 all suffered from doing that. X-Men 3 had so many characters hanging around they had to start killing them off early in the movie. And because there was no time for a proper Phoenix and Juggernaut Origin, they were both done terribly. Both of those 2 could have been the main villain in 2 separate movies. And they could have been damn good movies too.

Honestly I want to be excited for this, but the more we hear the less excited I'm becoming.

Again, you're assuming that these cameos will be as much screen time as Spider-Man 3 or X-Men 3, etc... There just cameos and it could very well work.

I want to, but I just can't at this point.

Too many characters, and either they'll take away screentime from Supes and Bats, or they'll be marginalised to the extent that they aren't given the attention they deserve.

say it isn't so.. we agree
😄 😛 😄 😂

Even if and that is a huge IF they are just cameos they have to have some type of origin so satiate people's appetites so they can get behind these other characters..

What's the concern? Anyway, I don't invest too much into rumors. Haven't you guys learned your lesson yet? EVERY actor who was rumored to play a role has been FALSE. Josh Brolin as Batman. False. Cranston as Luthor FALSE. Driver as Nightwing. FALSE. Gina C. as WW. Fasle.

WB has done a good job at not leaking out anything. And most of their choices, hardly anybody picked up on.

The rumor started from a Latino site that doesn't have much credibility.

However, this is one rumor I hope is true. 😉

the concern that people won't be getting the screen-time they deserve.

i'm not even talking about Superman either. Diana? Her first cinematic appearance is a cameo? She deserves better.

Ditto for Blunt if she is Catwoman.

There's a difference between balancing an ensemble cast, and taking away screen-time from those that deserve it.

In the Amc movie talk vid I posted a couple of pages back someone said they heard WW is the female lead in this movie.

Really don't get why WB can't just give us some solo movies instead of introducing everyone through team up movies. I guess they just decided no one will watch a Dc property without Superman or Batman in it.

If WB are planning their cinematic universe like kevin smith is saying, thete us no reason the characters wont get good screen time. I dont mind a cameo for WW. As long as its an important, quality scene.

Read the article i just posted. Its safe to say they will have solo movies. People jumping the gun again.

Well nothings announced at this point. We have 2 years before B v S. That's plenty of time to give us another solo movie that year.

Seems like they're just waiting to see how B v S and JL do.

Everything is speculati at this point, but the reasonable conclusion is the solo movies will be after or in-between the jl movies.

Btw, i think we will get some news at comic con. Like what movie the Rock will be in and possibly WBs long term plan with their universe.

I hope. Lol.

An important, quality scene that's also a cameo? Those only tend to work if they're post-credit scenes, and I don't think that's where they're going.

Time for Wonder Woman at all means less time for Superman or Batman. These two are supposed to dominate the movie, and yet now there's an absolutely massive supporting cast. I'm worried, tbh.

Snyder already said the main focus is batman/superman. So, if this is true, im not worried.

I know he did, but that was before all these announcements.

Even if it turns out that it is in fact dominated by the two, then he has to really work to not short-change Diana, because this movie WILL draw Wonder Woman fans, and they don't deserve to be ****ed over either.

shrug

I dunno; I just guess I assumed it would be Superman and Batman. I hope they do it right. I really do.

Warner Bros needing 8,500 military extras for their movie? Do they even need this many extras? Sounds like a waste of money to me.

The plan can still be batman/superman. Everyone else including WW will be cameos. Building up to a justice league movie. I get where you are coming from, but just bevsuse WW is getting a cameo, doesnt mean Snyder will screw her over.

Didnt Nolan have just as much for TDKR?

It doesn't mean he will, no. Just means it's possible. This is DC's biggest female character, period. She has to be treated with some respect and affection, or it will only sour fans.

It's definitely possible this movie can perfectly introduce all its new characters and still maintain a good balance of exposition, dialogue, action and respective screen time.I just don't trust Zach Snyder.

There's just so much room for this movie to fail, it's hard to get excited. Hopefully Ben Affleck helps Snyder.

Well, anything is possible. I've already admitted this could stink. I just have a feeling this will be good. Like I've said time and time, just wait and see.

i think this film will wind up being anywhere from 2 and 1/2 hours to 3 hours if written well with good action, dialogue and give everyone screen time.

my advice for Snyder, go watch The Avengers, heck go watch X-Men: Days of Future to see how professionals do it
