That sounds like a PR person doing damage control for WB/DC

Anyhow.
There is no way WB/DC did NOT know that setting their release date on the same day as a Marvel movie (even if it was unknown at the time) was going to cause tension. They cant be that dumb. They knew exactly what they were doing and either wanted send a message or cause is childish rivalry with Marvel.
You can spin it anyway you want, but the fact remains. It was a dumb aggressive move by WB/DC that should not had happened at all. There was no point to it other than the reasons I described.
Yes moving the date a few months back is "smart" move . And they will make more money , blah blah blah , but its a move they would have NOT had to make if they were smart from the start.

I never spun anything. I said a few pages ago that they very well knew what they're were up against. They didn't need to know how GOTG turned out and blinked way before that when Cap 2 came out. Seriously, stop putting words in my mouth.

Well if it was a no brainer they would have chosen that date in the first place.

So let's just all admit WB has screwed up loads with setting dates for this film. Which means their plans for this film weren't exactly solid ones.

But at the same time let's just hope they've figured out what they're doing now. And lets hope they have a long term plan which they stick to, instead of just going back to square 1 everytime a screw up like Green Lantern happens.

It's a business. They don't look at it that way. Their only goal is to maximize profits and they have by moving. We all knew they wouldn't open on the same day. It's fanboys that like to look at it as a war, but there is no war.

The only thing that matters to fans is if the movie is good.

but you are the FANBOY THOUGH HAHAHAHAHA

of course its a business, no one i believe isn't denying that

translation to what you said is " We might just get our ass kicked so lets move up 6 weeks prior too especially since many people on the internet knew we would balk and move out so how when our film Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice makes money we will be called smart, however the fact is we are cowards first and foremost since we never ever should have moved from the original 2015 date"

lol naturally fans want the film to be good... doesn't mean it will be though

The "war" talk you are talking about was started by WB/DC. There has always been fanboys from both camps but by BvS setting the same date as a marvel movie, is what got fanboys and the industry ablaze.
There is no other reason for them choosing that date other than to cause conflict. They're is no way to spin or defend that. None.

Although I am glad they've moved it forward and not backwards this time. Wana see film. It will make or break the DCCU.

I can't help but think they did that was to get people talking and they have succeeded in doing that, making the movie more aware. At least on the internet. Even if it was bad publicity, they know people are still going to flock to see this movie. Good or bad reviews. Kinda like Michael Bay.

But seriously, who CARES about the production of it all? It's all about the quality.

A lot of people do. Once the official trailer comes out, NOBODY is going to care about how many times they move (Except for maybe Bruceskywalker 😛). The trailer is going to look epic and I have a feeling the movie will be too.

I've argued this same point too, but this might be WB's best move. It made WB seem like a dick by picking it on the same day, but this caused fanboys on both sides to take sides even more. This rivalry kept their movie and WB in the spotlight. At some point in picking this date, they would have known this was going to happen and it would still be a win win if they moved. Controversy keeps them in the conversations. Now that they've moved, it's stirred more controversy and kept them in the headlines.

That's what I'm saying. Keeps people talking. 👆 Do you think Cap would have defeated BVS at the box office? I don't think it would have.
