Bendis is to Marvel as Johns is to DC, though. As much as I would like to say getting rid of him would be nice, that's not going to happen, as he influences far too much within the company.

That said, X-Men was being ****ed with long before Bendis came along, and I honestly don't know how long it will take before their comics recover.

Wow, way to put down Johns.

Bendis has lost his mojo for writing unlike Johns who still has it and is still good.

just think of the possibilities this could bring if it actually happened

I was talking about influence within the company, not writing skill. I'm not THAT terrible.

That's the thing: I don't want to.

Lol We don't need someone to buy WB out so that they start making good DC movies. They just need to get on with it and stop being scared.

The reason Green Lantern (for instance) was such a failure for the DCCU wasn't because it sucked and flopped. It was because WB just stopped with all the plans they had for their DC Properties and spent years rethinking what to do.

If they just didn't let that failure get to them, and whilst learning where they went wrong with it, carried on with their plans for a Flash solo movie and a Wonder Woman solo movie, then WB's DC Cinematic Universe would have been ready for Justice League already.

But instead we find them Jumping head first into the ensemble DC Franchises based on just 1 solo franchise. They've done nothing for years(apart from carrying on with Superman and Batman solo movies of course) just to rush it all now.

And also too many cooks in the kitchen, That movie had that many script rewrites.

Well maybe that's one of the lessons they should have learned going forward. Instead of just halting all their plans.

They had a good Flash movie script (so I've heard), with a cameo by GL at the end. But after GL failed they just stopped everything. And now they've given all the plot details of the Flash movie script for the Tv series to use, since they're not doing anything with the character on the big screen (outside team-up plans).

Geoff Johns? He seems to be involved in every medium of DC Products. And everything he touches seems to be good. I'd hate to say David Goyer though! Mr. "Martian Manhunter can't work, he's too stupid and unrealistic.." And "I don't know what we're doing.. We'll see.. I dunno.."

Or WB should just give DC Independence over DC Movies. They should have seen by now how well that's worked for Marvel.

Yeah, because we really need Marvel ****ing up DC characters to go with all of their own characters that they ****ed up.

No thanks.

Let's not forget all the characters DC phucked over with their reboot.

I wouldn't say Johns either since the whole Green Lantern debacle.. David Goyer is still most likely involved in some shape prolly.. there are several things WB/DC should be copying Marvel, too bad they aren't.. I'm trying to take a wait and see approach but so far its a no go..

From the sounds of it, they totally scrapped Goyer's script, which Terrio rewrote. That's a good thing. WB doesn't really need a separate studio. They just need to make good decisions.

They did mess with some; can't deny that. They also did a LOT of good though, and no way would Marvel know how to handle Superman. They'd royally **** it up.

Huh? Goyer has become steadily less and less involved since Man of Steel came out.

Johns didn't have the kind of oversight over GL that he should have. Not nearly enough.

lol Goyer is prolly still involved somehow.. Johns s*cks, he isn't Kevin Feige lmao.. WB/DC needs a Kevin Feige type to handle matters and to be the know it all of all things DC

Cant be much worse. Not like DC is exactly working wonders with Superman now (speaking strictly comics) and DC and Marvel writers switch back and forth like revolving doors. Im sure they have writers who know how to write Superman or who grew up reading his books. Actually I think someone like Mark Waid would knock it out of the park.

Waid already did with Birthright.

Forgot about that, there you go 👆

Marvel has always had a hard time putting singular heroes at the top of the chain. If they were going to have Superman in Marvel, he couldn't exist alongside the Hulks and Thor's of the world, especially seeing as Marvel would want to completely alter his role in the world.

"probably" isn't much.

Waid did when he was at DC. There are fundamentally different ways that DC and Marvel write their universes. If Superman went to Marvel he'd be marginalised as ****, and we've seen Marvel's idea of Superman in the Sentry.

Can you imagine someone like Bendis writing Superman?

Not to mention Joe Q's wonderful words back in the day.

Also above.

You think Superman is bad NOW? He'd be far worse if he was brought in to the Marvel Universe.

Yeah Marvel and DC just run their verses different.

Weather you like how they do superman or not (for the record I dislike some aspects, like treating him like his story is objectively better then any other heroes development) but that is how he is done. For better or worse he is the most important person there.

And that wouldn't work for marvel so he would have to be changed. Could the change be better? Sure but even if it was, he wouldn't be Superman anymore.

I wasn't thinking of them combining universes. I thought it would just be Marvel having control over both studios. If you meant combining then yeah, it would just be a mess altogether. Earth isn't big enough for that many heroes.
