Superman isn't going to die, though.
I'm guessing if he died it would be a Spock type thing where he comes back to life in the next movie. But the audiences won't know that for sure, so could have a heck of a shocking and emotional impact. Much like Spock's death had in Wrath of Khan.
In any case, I hope they use Doomsday in a Superman solo film, whether he ends up in BvS or not.

I hope so. They could do one of them every year in theory.

That option has to be on their minds at least if they're talking Doomsday as a major part of the DCCU.
I'll say I highly doubt that. First off, Superman is still big box office wise. Killing him would be stupid.
And last, killing him and bringing him back isn't very realistic. Something Snyder and WB are avoiding. Killing him and bringing him back would cheapen everything. WB is going for a more realistic universe.
They don't have to kill him; the story can be just as much about Superman almost dying, putting his life on the line to save Metropolis. He needs some good faith feats after what happened in MOS, and him being the one to stop the monster, like in the animated movie, would be a huge gesture imo.
Plus, it would show people that he isn't some invincible god creature either.

There's nothing realistic about Superman. Snyder needs to get that.
He is supposed to be like Thor, as in an immortal being or a "god".

Realistic in terms of real world, though. Killing someone and coming back from the dead doesn't fit Snyder's vision. Which is why I don't think they'll kill him. It's a cheap gimmick, anyway. Don't like it in the comics and I certainly don't want it in the movies.

Agree to disagree.
IMO It would be a good way to lay down the rule that Superman can't really be killed (well not by brute force anyway). And like I said, the movie where he does die will have that sort of emotional impact that Wrath of Khan had with Spock's death. And in the long run, no one's really complaining that Spock came back.
Heck same thing happened with Kirk in "Into Darkness." Because it's science fiction end of the day, and so is Superman (with the fantasy element added in obviously).

I actually like your ideas, but I just don't see Snyder doing it. Maybe he will get Superman bloodied and bruised like never before but bringing someone back from the dead? Nah.
Warner Bros. is attending the CineEurope trade show, and closed out their presentation today with a DC Cinematic Universe sizzle reel that featured footage from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, according to THR.Warner Bros. hasn’t released that footage online, so if you weren’t at CineEurope you’ll just have to imagine what it looked like for now. Hopefully WB will feel obliged to share it with the rest of the world at some point.
The presentation also featured The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Black Mass, The Intern, Pan, In the Heart of the Sea, Creed, The 33, The Conjuring 2, King Arthur, and The Accountant.
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice opens March 25, 2016.
