Not shocking tbh. This project has been talked about for so long but with no movement on it. Del Toro probably just thought "screw it".

He already stated someone else might direct it. Probably taking on too many projects as it is.

Most intriguing things from the new trailer:

- Did the Joker break into Batman's batcave somehow? There's graffiti on a suit and a taunting message on the newspaper talking about his parent's death. We know that if he did know his secret identity, it would be irrelevant to him as he considers Batman the real one and Bruce Wayne just a disguise.

- Is the Superman who kneels before Luthor a clone of him, aka Bizarro? He has a sinister look on his face. That's how his origin has mostly gone, and this is one way Lex would be looking to combat Superman as a 'threat.'

- Are those execution-style soldiers wearing 'S' insignia patches on their shoulders?? What could that mean?

- Who is Wonder Woman fighting? Is she jumping into the fight between Clark and Bruce, or is it Bizarro?

Lots of questions and lots of time before the movie comes out. 🙁
