then we gonna have to agree to disagree then...its all good though .... as a batman fanatic i want to make sure he is going to be in good hands, no one really knows until the finish product is seen
this delay for whatever reason is bad. i hope in the coming days/weeks actual truth is known
if that were truly the case then WB needs to come out and say it.. oh and btw scripts do not take a year to re write, let alone to polish it
@Pr, what if Kyle was used instead of Hal and John 😄
lol. Come on, man. WB won't ever say something like that. Especially in relation to one of their biggest properties.
Moving it back a year can only be a negative thing. I mean Amy Adams just 2 weeks ago said she's read the script and they're starting to film very soon. Affleck said last year that he's read the script and loves what Synder is doing with it.
So if the whole script is being rewritten, then that's terrible. But most likely they're having arguments about WB's plan going forward. But if that's the case then I'm disappointed WB still doesn't have a solid short and long-term plan which they have the confidence to stick to.
Either way the push back is a screw up. So anyone saying "it's a good thing, because now in an extra year the film is going to be so much better" either doesn't realize how these things work, or are just giving WB more credit than they deserve at this stage.

This and the script was already edited by Chris Terrio before the delay. I had full confidence in this film minus Gal Gadot. I really hope those Justice League rumors aren't true.

Uh, no. Plenty of films are pushed back and turn out fine. Sure, it may be in a trouble or, and this seems like the more likely case to me, WB realized they wish to take their time and plans things out.
Seriously, it's a delay. Movies are delayed all the time. People are blowing this way out of proportion by saying this film will be a train wreck simply because of that.

I'm not saying it's a guaranteed train wreck now. I'm saying they've obviously screwed up somewhere. When you make such a big announcement at comic con, confirming a release date 6 months ago, and then just 2 weeks ago have one of the main stars confirming the script is all done, she's read it and we're ready to start shooting very soon, and then this s*** happens.. Then yeah they've clearly screwed up somewhere. It's certianly nothing to get us happy or excited about that "oh yeah they're gonna spend an extra year making this movie extra awesome now," because that's just not how these things work.
How many times have Marvel studios changed their release dates so radically? For that matter when did even Fox or Sony do that with their Marvel properties. It doesn't happen because they have solid plans for their comic book properties. Short term and long term plans which they stick to.
If the reason is simply because they got paranoid about finishing a few of the better/more expensive scenes on time, and didn't want to do anything that risks this movie, then I'm fine with that.
This movie has to be epic, and they can't let anything screw that up. That much I agree with.
But I'd say there was clearly a screw up somewhere in the pre-production process. And they should be giving us something else in 2016 as well, like a solo Batman or solo Wonder Woman. Or a Flash movie.

👆 Yeah, this isn't the first time a movie has been delayed and it won't be the last.

How am I being super positive? I'm actually annoyed the movie is being delayed. It IS a good thing that they moved it back to rework the script, which was probably trash in the first place. That is the very reason they hired Terrio.
You don't cast your big name actors for your major characters, shoot some early scenes in Los Angeles (the Gotham-Metropolis football game) then turn around and say the movie will now be delayed for another year. When you cast actors, you're going to shoot in the next few months at least. This is very evident of there being behind the scenes struggles.
Contrast this with Marvel's first Thor film. They first announced it for June 2010, after the success of Iron Man in May 2008. But months later they lost Matthew Vaughn as director and gained Kenneth Branagh, and decided to give him about a year of prep, so then they moved the date to 2011, finally setting on the first weekend in May. Once pre-preduction was under way for months, then they started casting and we got actors names coming out for the parts, leading right into the beginning of principal photography. An orderly process. They didn't cast actors and let them know we will be shooting about 18 months later.
There's a serious wrenching of direction happening behind the scenes. No coincidence it began with Ben Affleck bringing in his Argo writer to do rewrites. They (WB) are listening to him, rather than Goyer and Snyder.
Why 'Batman Vs. Superman' Had To Be Delayed For 10 Months.
Once the choice was made to not open Batman Vs. Superman on July 17th, 2015, the die was cast for the film to open on May 6th, 2016 at the very earliest. The choice to delay may have been about quality or specific production concerns. But the length of that delay was merely about smart (or at least risk-averse) scheduling.
Aaaand Jennifer Garner has seen the Bat suit.

Well yeah I can understand they really wouldn't want to open in December 2015 alongside Star Wars.
And I don't mind the Argo script writer changing a lot of the script, as the dialogue in MOS was one of it's weak points Imo.
But still Roughrider is right. This is all a result of some serious differences going on behind the scenes. There's just no other explanation after they already shot a scene, had a finished script, had casted almost all their major players, and had Amy Adams confirming just a week earlier that they're about to start shooting.
