I strongly disagree with the notion that these characters need an origin story. Personally, I'm getting sick and tired of them. There is absolutely no reason why a franchise about a character like Wonder Woman can't start after she has become an established heroine.

Because there will be little hype for a Justice League film when your GA isn't familiar with most of them.

And you definitely need an origin story for someone whose faster than Superman, and someone else who has the power of several Greek Goddesses, and the Kind of the Oceans e.t.c.

These aren't just characters you can randomly introduce.

See I don't see the need for an origin film. Sure, solo films would be nice but I'd rather the characters be already established during those films. I don't need to see their first battle or whatever and how they gained their heroic ideals.

I just hope the "all supers are kryptonian" thing isn't true.

Yeah, that would suck.

Based on your notion just lump everyone together then. Why waste time and just lump all of these characters together by your logic.

Wonder Woman and The Flash need an origin story. As well as any other Leaguers who they want to use like Aquaman, Hawkman or Green Arrow.

Besides it's not just about Origins. These characters need their own solo movies to build hype for a JL movie. That's what made Avengers so huge, which then in turn gave a massive boost to all the individual Avenger solo franchises.

They will have their own solo movies. Supposedly right after the JL. Which will explore their back story even more, but people need to be invested in these characters, too. And the Flash hasn't been confirmed yet. He could very well get a solo movie right after the MOS sequel.

Agreed. WB doesn't need to follow the old format. It can be done either way, IMO.

😐

That's not what I said at all nor has that anything to do with my logic. I certainly think it would be beneficial for the audience to be introduced to the characters prior to JLA. But I don't think we need to see how say Flash got his powers.

It worked in the X-Men film, we had no films prior to this and that movie was rather good and successful.

WB would be very disappointed if SvB made only Xmen money

SvB already has supes and bats as established characters. X-Men had no established characters.

Doubt that would happen, since MOS made more than any X-Men film to date.

Wolverine was at Superman level before the movies.

to be fair it was also lampooned nearly to the level of last stand, and its gotten a lot of negative as it transitions into SvB. I think Cap 3 will cut into profits along with a lack of positive press. I'd honestly be amazed for it to hit the 1B club like IM3

I see BVS making a billion. I know a lot of people going to see it, even if it's bad. Rotten Tomatoes was pretty bad on MOS and it made almost 700M and MOS had a bunch of competition during it's release.

It's true for the most part. The critically panned Grown Ups 2 made more in the US than Pacific Rim did.

Woman Woman doesn't have a consistent origin. She definitely needs a solo film. The Flash's origin is so short and to the point that you would think he doesn't need an entire film dedicated to a lab accident, but I think he would need one as well, in order to set up his relationship with Wally West, as well as do the origin of Captain Cold or whatever villain they decide to use.

But again, X-Men doesn't require a different origin to for each character, as they all pretty much have the same origin- being born mutants.

Plus what Pym said that X-Men films were weak sauce success compared to the real superhero box office beasts.

They weren't born with powers though, they mostly formed as they were growing up.

Potatoes Tomatoes, you get my point.

RUMOR: Details of Ben Affleck's Character in Upcoming BATMAN VS> SUPERMAN Movie Revealed?

• BatFleck will be 40 years old, retired.

• The Batsuit and Batmobile are A...MA...ZING!!!!

• Except for several details, the events that took place in the NolanVerse are going to be Canon. Thalia's involvement in the events of TDKR will not be canon, the supposed death of Bane is also not canon. Other small details are made non-canon.

• After the events of TDKR, BatFleck retired to rebuild Gotham as Bruce Wayne. Robin (in the TDKR but not played by JGL) becomes his first protege as NightWing. There is a 7-year time period between the event in the TDKR and MoS. So, BatFleck has been retired for 7 years.

• During this time, knowing that crime needs to be dealt with, BatFleck constituted the BatFamily: NightWing, BatWing, BatGirl, RedRobin and Robin. The latter died at the hand of The Joker who escaped during the TDKR's event but then reappeared. As a way of getting BatFleck's attention, the Joker devised a plan to attack one of his proteges. He targeted the youngest and less experienced one - Robin. He killed him and BatFleck has been blaming himself day and night for it, this sets up a Batman: Under The Red Hood solo movie.

• In addition to his [Bat Family], BatFleck has launched a bunch of BatDrones & BatAndroids ("[Bat Army]"😉 Bruce Wayne is one of the most influential man on the planet due to his rebuilding agenda in Gotham, and the rise of Wayne Enterprises.

• Gotham City is basically led by [Bruce Wayne & Wayne Enterprises] by day and the [Bat Family] & [Bat Army] by night. Bruce Wayne has to find time to manage both sides. And, he does. There have been speculation that Bruce Wayne is an ally of the Batman. Bruce admits that he's been "financing" the Batman. But, he says he's never actually met the Batman. He argues that the Batman is making Gotham City a safer place. He argues that without the Batman, Gotham would have been destroyed. This is, of course, the general consensus in the populace. Hence, the fact that he's siding with Batman does not really raise any concerns.

• After the TDKR's event and before MoS, Gotham city is internationally known as the Batman's City. The Batman became an international Legend, the Bat symbol is now viewed as a symbol of Justice, Defiance, and Courage. People are increasingly believing that BatFleck's still alive and kicking...watching over Gotham as a guardian angel. The authorities don't like this, they don't like how the mythos of this vigilante is making them look like a bunch of P****. They would like to put a stop to the [Bat Family] and the [Bat Army]. In other words, the Batman is an embarrassment to them, he's a problem.

• BatFleck is concerned by the events of MoS. Bane's terror in Gotham is still fresh in his memory; the reconstruction of Gotham is not completely done. Everyone saw what this alien is capable of. BatFleck is the world's greatest Detective and Prep. Expert; he decides to research every single details there is to know about Kal-El.

• Bruce Wayne wants to get involved with the reconstruction of Metropolis. This means that Wayne Enterprises and LexCorp have to work together. He's not thrilled about it but it's for the greater good.
