This movie could be complete shit, it doesn't matter, it's too big to fail.

True, but there's a difference between not failing, and making so much money that WB don't know what to do with it.

I'm sure anything less than a Billion Dollars WW will be considered a failure. I personally think even a Billion would be a disappointment.

After all the last 2 Batman solo films made that much.

They would have to find someone else right away though as they'd already be in Pre-Production at that point I'm sure.

Wouldn't be the first time.

I'm not saying he's bad. I'm actually one of the few people here who enjoyed MOS. And I loved Watchmen. But DC's investing their 2 Biggest movies on him. That's what I just don't get.

I think after the Nolan trilogy & the negative feedback from MOS, DC is finally going to give the fans what they want to see.
A dark knight that isn't bulked down because of realism & hopefully the free use of cgi to give us agility & action sequences on par with Batman comics & cartoons.

Matched with a credible Superman. Someone that humanity both fears & patriotically trusts at the same time.

I want to believe that Superman can destroy at a whim & I want to believe that Batman has the balls & integrity to put him in his place.

Snyder proved he can handle the broad issues & the finer details & still blow us away with action sequences as he did in the Watchmen.

Yeah, but the scripts for his movies suck except for Watchmen and DOTD.

Good thing they got Chris Terrio to re-write the script.

You have heard of The Room right?

No, I haven't.

Just watched a bit on youtube: The Room-Funniest Moments.

Uummm yeah...Snyder's got nothing to fear.

This is going to be huge.

Good times.

IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX) and Warner Bros. Pictures today announced a multi-picture agreement to release up to 30 films from the studio’s slate through 2020 as a continuation of the companies’ longstanding partnership.

Under the agreement, IMAX will be part of a number of high-profile tentpoles from Warner Bros. Pictures, includingThe Man from U.N.C.L.E. , In the Heart of the Sea, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the Tarzan movie, the King Arthur movie, Suicide Squad, Geostorm, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Jungle Book: Origins, and Godzilla 2. The deal also encompasses a number of upcoming DC tentpoles, as well as future LEGO movies, including The LEGO Movie Sequel.

“We’ve had an incredible partnership with Warner Bros. for more than 10 years, which has helped IMAX filmgoers enjoy Warner movies around the world,” said IMAX CEO Richard L. Gelfond. “We’re excited and grateful to extend that partnership.”

“With this multi-picture deal, IMAX and Warner Bros. continue a lengthy and substantial partnership, which is invested in bringing the highest-quality entertainment to the most awe-inspiring cinematic experience,” said Greg Foster, Senior Executive Vice President, IMAX Corp. and CEO of IMAX Entertainment. “But at its core, this deal enriches and broadens IMAX’s relationship with key filmmakers, who have always been a top priority for Warner Bros. in bringing the most compelling cinema to audiences around the world.”

True. If he can recreate a Watchmen type of thing but in the context of these iconic heroes then I'll be happy.

But I still think Snyder should stop there and not go on to do Justice League on top. The DCU could do with some fresh blood, especially for their biggest movie.

It's not like Marvel kept Jon Favreau for Avengers just because he did a great job with IM (a movie which was definitely better received than MOS). Heck they haven't even kept Joss Whedon on for Avengers 3 & 4 which I think is a great movie by them personally. And I love Joss Whedon.

Would be better if he wrote the original draft than "re-write" it. Goyer should stay well away.

Who would you want to direct? Maybe all the big guns you want aren't available or don't want to do it. If that's the case, Snyder is the best option now.

There's so many Great directors out there. If None of them are available for this (doubtful) then don't rush into JL.

MOS was good, but it was hardly a masterpiece, or a film that changed the comic book movie landscape. So not really sure why you're so insistent that Snyder is the right guy to do JL.

I can accept him doing BvS given it was initially his idea to do that as a sequel to MOS and given the concept of it- he could easily pull off a Watchmen. But no matter how good that turns out to be I would definitely want a change of director for JL.

I mean who really wants Snyder to do everything? From Superman through Batman V Superman to Justice League part 1, then probably Justice League Part 2 as well? Is there no one else for these projects?

You need some diversity for these movies to get bigger and better. Fresh blood and bigger talent.

I'm cool with one clear vision.

I don't think one way is inherently better than the other.

JLA shouldn't wait until a great director can jump on board. And they're not rushing. That's just my opinion. Snyder is a damn good director, so agree to disagree.

Btw, I only call a handful of directors TRULY great, so your definition of great is different from mine. A truly great director is rare, imo.

I mean he's no Noaln, Whedon, Vaughn or Russo. He's not in that kind of caliber Imo.

I'd put Snyder more in Bryan Singer's caliber.

Hey it's WB's own risk if they want to depend this whole DCCU on one guy especially one whose not exactly even in big demand.
