I mean he's no Noaln, Whedon, Vaughn or Russo. He's not in that kind of caliber Imo.

I'd put Snyder more in Bryan Singer's caliber.

Hey it's WB's own risk if they want to depend this whole DCCU on one guy especially one whose not exactly even in big demand.

Russo's aren't great either.

Russo's did a damn good job with Winter Soldier. IMO, Snyder's only good movie is watchmen. MoS, 300 and Sucker Punch all suck.

I'd still put Russo's > Snyder, because they're more well-rounded directors. Snyder has glaring weaknesses in his direction.

Doing one movie that was good doesn't mean he's a great director. I'd prefer Snyder's resume to Russo's overall. I enjoyed MOS and 300.

I don't think putting down any particular person is indicative of the quality of the flick.

There's different people working on this film from past films. New characters, new attentions. The thing to look at is the product itself. And so far, with the only real legit preview of two minutes, the little footage I've seen is pretty enticing.

Well look what they achieved with TWS.

It was Universally well received by critics and fans. And more financially successful than MOS to boot.

That makes them a safe bet. Snyder's not a "safe" bet Imo.

Either way I don't think you should put all your eggs in 1 basket, which is what WB are doing with Snyder.

I actually think he will do a great job with BvS.

I just think WB should give him a break after that. Maybe come back later for the next Solo Superman.

I just don't get putting All the Biggest films of the DCCU on Snyder. That's honestly too much for any Director Imo. And there are much better directors out there as I've already pointed out.

He's one for one. Again, that doesn't make him a great director. On top of that he'll be doing many more Marvel movies, the same as Zack Snyder. If Zack has a clear vision on how he wants to expand the DCCU and he has love for the characters, I don't see what's wrong with that. As long as most people like it, which they do so far.

^ I just think Russo's are a much safer bet given how much better received TWS was than MOS and the fact that it was much more financially successful.

And I also think it's a bad idea to have all your cards stacked in 1 Director.

Abrams is another great director. SW 7 is in safe hands. Lucasfilm sure aren't taking any risks. And even then, they're giving Abrams a break and letting someone else do 1 film in the trilogy - Rian Johnson, another great director.

You see the difference in how Marvel And Lucasfilm are handling things compared to how WB is running their DC Movies?

WS also had a better script, which MOS did not. Fortunately, BVS script is amazing according to the people who have seen it and the actors surrounding the movie.

MOS is only the first movie in the DCCU, let's see how it plays out before you jump to conclusions.

I actually haven't enjoyed anything Rian Johnson has done. He's been mediocre, IMO.

Well, Joss Whedon is PUMPED for BVS.

I like what Chris Evans said about Superman: "I feel like Superman can bulldoze through our WHOLE squad." 😂

Although, I'll admit, I'm not a fan of Looper which is the only film of his I've seen.

I've seen Looper and Brick. Looper was mediocre and poorly made while Brick was lackluster. Rian Johnson is just so lukewarm and generic, his hiring for Star Wars I'm not a fan of.

Edit - his Breaking Bad episodes were pretty awesome, but I attribute that to the fantastic writing mostly.

I thought his work on Breaking Bad was phenomenal

Yeah, but most of that was due to incredible scripts and acting. Like the phone conversation in Ozymandious was all the magic of Bryan Cranston and the dialogue.

Trailer was the worst out of the most recent big movie releases.

Nah, the BvS trailer was pretty epic too. Batman and Superman on the screen together, "Do you Bleed" and the bat voice. 👆

It didn't do anything for me, and I'm someone who was eagerly anticipating this trailer hoping it'd be good
