Miller wasn't writing a Superman story or even so much a Batman story. He was more or less using the archetypes to convey his social and political observations of the times.

nice but can't see it happening.. i really don't think WB will hire a 50 year old.. and then have him play the character for at the very least 2 films, if not his own solo film

Then he shouldn't have been writing a story about those characters.

Aside from Brolin I've also heard rumors that Richard Armitage (Thorin) is a possible candidate. I think he would be quite cool for an older more experienced Batman.

Armitage would be my first pick. They said they're going for an actor in his mid 40's. Woulda liked to see Fassbender in the role at first but with him playing magneto and all, i've changed my mind.

Armitage is a good pick. Bale was perfect due to his American Psycho role.
But the execution was laughable in the end.
If DC is focusing on a more comic version of Batman then many actors can fit the role.
It's all about the execution.

Bale was a perfect Bruce Wayne.

He was shitty as Batman IMHO.

In which Superman got the short end of the stick and did a complete disservice to the character.

No.

His voice is stupid. His Batman fights like shit(although this is Nolan's fault and not Bale)

Don't dare edit my posts ever again

mmm Could be. I agree he was good in Begins. His voice wasn't the laughing stock it eventually became and Batman didn't really talk that much--which is something I prefer.

Zack, redeem yourself by agreeing Jensen should be Batman.

Ackles would be great. And its not because I am biased because of Deanannigans.

They said they wanted an older Batman, but how much older? Ackles would be good if they want slightly older. And would still work fine for a couple of years without looking much older.

You realise the best fighting styles are not the ones which "look" the best right?

I think the hate over his voice is a bit on top. I don't think he's a laughing stock in general. I think people make fun of it because yes it stands out but mainly because they make fun of franchises they like. Look at all the jokes that revolve around Star Wars characters and their lines. Or the fun made out of Golem's "My precious" line. Doesn't mean people think that Golem and that line was stupid.

Well, the best fighting styles do look pretty cool: judo, boxing, mt, wrestling, bjj, etc.

Granted, they can all look boring depending on who uses them, but this is Batman.

I don't care. I like stuff that looks good.

**** realism. **** Baleman Batman fighting like shit. In Begins you couldn't even figure out wtf was happening when he fought the 4 ninja.

Russell Crowe's fighting in Mos >>> Batman trilogy.

Nolan sucks when it comes to that. Reigns supreme at everything else.
