So I'm thinking this
Film opens with a montage of superman going around doing his small and not so small acts of superhero stuff. Stopping planes crashing. Rescuing people at the last second from avalanches etc set over 5 years. Loads of tv coverage. Keeps cutting to some shady unidentified dude in an expensive looking mansion room reading an article Lois has written about Superman while the tv shows news footage. At the end of the montage he flips the page and there's an article about Wayne enterprises collaborating with Luthor Corp.
Lex's involvement is his obtaining kryptonite and somehow taking superman out of the game while endangering the world in the process. Bruce Wayne uses his involvement in the companies collaboration to find out where superman is being imprisoned and helps him escape in time to save the world blah blah blah.
Oh. And we'll need someone who's a half decent actor to play Wayne/Batman. So I'm thinking James Franco.
Aye. Quality actor. Would need to bulk up a wee bit but he could certainly easily do both the Bruce Wayne and Batman personas. He's certainly a lot more talented than most of the c-list square-faced clowns being touted so far. But then people don't really care about acting ability any more which is why we've ended up with Taylor Kitsch getting any kind of work. Ironically he'll probably end up being Batman.
that's what i mean, tho. He's like 5'9" with a goofy face. His look is totally off. He's not classically handsome enough to be believable as Bruce Wayne, the playboy, and he's doesn't look rugged enough (even if he put on tons of muscle) to pull off Batman, the badass vigilante.
This isn't like Seth Rogen playing Green Hornet where all Rogen had to do was drop a few lbs.

He's less than an inch shorter than Christian Bale.
As for whether he's good looking enough to play the billionaire playboy side of the role I'll leave that to the women to decide

I guess I'm just old fashioned in wanting someone who can act to do some acting.
And let's face it. How many of the film Batmen have been good? Michael Keaton was the best actor of them all but was totally unsuited to the role. Bale made a good Bruce Wayne but his batman voice was horrendous. Val Kilmer and George Clooney were both terrible and made even more so by being in terrible films.
Some are touting Ryan Gosling for the role. Wrong wrong wrong.
