Eva Green as Circe and Sean Bean as Ares? Hope it's true, because this needs to happen.

So he's confirmed he's doing JL part 2 as well. Damn it. I have high hopes for BvS, but don't expect Snyder to make 3 Great films in a row tbh.
Rumor update on MOS 2. Interesting that Dark Universe might still be talked about within the studio.
Before we start a new rumor, how about we kill an old one first. For starters, the Man Of Steel sequel has NOT been put on permanent hold. That claim is just ridiculous. Superman is still a key player and part of the DCEU's long term strategy. What's up with Mad Max: Fury Road director George Miller? Last week, Zack Snyder made the following comments to News.com.au:
“George doing one of the DC movies? Oh my God, absolutely. George can do anything he wants, in my opinion. We haven’t talked about it, and to be frank I just didn’t know what he was thinking of doing next. But yeah, if I was to think he had any interest in them of course I’m happy to talk to him.”
Cute. Where I come from it's called spin. Although Zack Snyder has a say and plays a big part helping mold the DCEU, ultimately it's not his call, it's the studio's call.
What I am hearing? George Miller simply hasn't decided yet what to do next, but if he wants the Man Of Steel sequel it's his. Get this, Warner brass also put Dark Universe on the table now that Guillermo Del Toro has left the project. There are those who feel DC's band of misfits that make up Justice League Dark is right up George Miller's alley. My two cents? I rather see George Miller take on Superman than Swamp Thing.
Next, when could we expect to see Superman in a standalone film?
With both Justice League movies gearing up to shoot over the next few years, Superman at the earliest would get his sequel around either 2019 or 2020 from what I am being told. The studio not only has to figure out when to slate Superman but the upcoming Batman film that Ben Affleck is supposed to direct. More on Batman in a later article.
Last but not least what bad guy could we see go up against Superman in the standalone film? That is being worked out as well but from what I am being told, it would be the cinematic introduction of Brainiac.
Remember, Zack Snyder has already gone on the record about Brainiac and teased the super villain in a future film. He told Entertainment Weekly in the Comic Con issue:
“I remember talking about, ‘What’s the next villain?’” said Snyder. “‘We can’t do another alien invasion.’ Brainiac was definitely down the road.”
Brainiac is my favorite Superman villain so I hope they do the character justice in a Superman sequel. Geoff Johns in recent years has given Brainiac an upgrade in Action Comics #866-870. The five issue run was made into an animated feature Superman: Unbound. With Geoff Johns co-writing the Batman film with Ben Affleck, it wouldn't surprise me if he has a say in the next Superman film if they indeed use Brainiac.
In closing, the Superman sequel isn't on permanent hold, George Miller may still take a crack at it, the film will happen in the next few years, and Braniac will most likely be your bad guy. I will update you guys as learn more.

It's not unusual for a director to get multiple films. Whedon did two Avengers movie and if it's one complete story, would make sense for Snyder to complete it, if it's his vision.
Some more rumors. Take with a grain of salt. Some SPOILERS so beware:
hey guys sorry for my absence but had we had a few projects that were on a tough deadline thank goodness I have a great crew. So here are some of the new tidbits that I am hearing from he who shall go unnamed but is always reliable.George Miller is indeed in heavy talks, the problem is that Miller was really pressed on working entirely on this new Mad Max trilogy but WB wants to stave that off and have him either direct the MOS stand alone or maybe even the GL corp flick. The ball is in Millers hands to decide but they will be making an announcement soon officially.
Miller and Snyder have already been in talks about the possible direction for the MOS stand alone and the title that Miller threw out was to simply call it Superman. The understanding being that Kal-El was just a Man of Steel in MOS but after BvS he will be Superman so Miller thinks this may be a fitting enough title, whether or not this will be the case we will see.
WB will be reworking their movie schedule to either include the Batman movie which is being fast tracked as well as the new Superman stand alone. They will be announcing this soon as well and Cyborg may be getting the axe.
The villain is not Doomsday, is what I was told when asked, thank God. While I can't say who it is because I was not informed directly, I asked if it was Metallo or the Kryptonian that was missing. I got a smile and was told this directly; "what people are not considering in trying to figure out who it was that wanted to roast Batman is the possibility that it may just be a villain out of Wonder Woman's stable. Remember Snyder did say that she is the bridge between the two." wink wink
Superman does not have his own soldiers, why would he need them. The troops wearing his emblem are a religious nut job fanatic crew who see Superman as a Messiah.
The movie starts as a flash back from the perspective of Bruce Wayne as we saw in the trailer. Snyder's comments about their being more Batman are being misunderstood in that all he is trying to simply say is that Batman edges more screen time because they are reintroducing the character from a new perspective to establish this Batman from Nolan's.
The "you let your family die" writing that we saw on the newspaper is not from the Joker but from someone whose family died in Wayne's building during the Black Zero.
WB s actually just waiting on Marvel to make their move before they make any announcements. believe it or not these studios trade information even though it may look like they are in heavy competition, they do communicate when they will be announcing new news. What some of these blowhard fans don't realize is that it all affects the business set because they all belong to one Genre. Marvel is set to release official footage from Civil War which will show Spiderman, WB will let that wave ride then jump on with their announcements. This is how the business works. So while some see it as an imaginary war it is actually a synergy understanding between the two studios.
Brolin talks about his chance to play Batman.

“I don’t have that thing, I wish I did. It would just be more interesting and more competitive, damn him. As much as you guys want to be pissed off, be pissed off, it’s all good. Start a f–king riot. I’m really curious [to see] what he does. Beyond curious.”

Joss Whedon did just 2 Avenger films, and the 2nd one ended up being a let down IMO.
So he couldn't even keep up that magic for 2 consecutive films in the franchise. Nor could Jon Favreau with the IM films. And both Favreau and Whedon absolutely crushed IM1 and A1.
Whilst they've trusted Snyder with MOS, BvS, JL1 and JL2. I don't like it. I really enjoyed MOS but Snyder hardly crushed it. So really strange to trust him with the next 3 most important movies in the DCCU.
Marvel are taking the same risk with the Russo brothers doing CA:TWS, CA:CW, IW1 and IW2.
And even though Russo brothers did crush it with CA:TWS, and even though there's 2 of them to keep things creative, I still don't like it.

Just because Whedons was a let down, doesn't mean Snyder will be. Besides those two Avengers movies were separate in that you didn't need to watch Avengers one to understand Avengers AOU. Snyder JLA will be one big massive story, split into 2 films, so it doesn't make sense putting someone else on the other movie.
It's the same thing as the LOTR trilogy. One massive story with one director, Peter Jackson.
Jesse on Luthor:
“In a lot of ways Luthor is more of a stretch than any character you would do in an independent movie, which is normally the place you stretch. So in that way it was not at all compromised. If anything it was the best, most advantageous role I’ve ever been given.”“It’s because the opportunity to do an interesting character on a movie of that scale is incredibly rare… The character is written by the phenomenal writer [and Argo Oscar winner] Chris Terrio. His background is not in comic books so he was coming at it from emotion and story and created this really wonderful character, as enigmatic as he is emotionally honest.”
“Now people expect the tone to be more realistic just because we live in a world where the average audience member has a sense of psychological motivations… [It raises the question] how can one man—Superman—have so much power? These are the kind of things that we talk about when we think about authoritarian states, when we talk about Vladimir Putin having a strong foothold in Eastern Europe. They’re addressing geopolitics in this movie and not in a way that’s pretentious or esoteric.”
“Terrio cleverly ties in these really exciting superhero elements with these really sophisticated, philosophical themes in a much smarter, different way. That’s what I like to do with my writing: To have these very sophisticated, philosophical debates happen on very basic levels.”
Irons on Alfred:
“It was a month in Detroit, which is actually longer than you’d imagine. But big films move slowly. It’s like a huge oil tanker.”This is not your father’s Alfred, apparently. Batman’s butler is more pro-active, even physical. “Zack Snyder, the director, wanted to create a completely different Alfred. So I felt I didn’t have to carry any baggage from previous ones. It’s sort of a reincarnation if you’d like. I had a feeling I was creating my own Alfred, more of a man who can actually do anything if he has to.”
I like what I'm hearing.

Wasn't just Whedon. It was Favreau- IM2, it was Ramai-sm3. Heck even Nolan's TDK Trilogy ended with the most disappointing installment.

Even if we look at JL1 and JL2 as the same, it's still his 3rd outing in the Universe after MOS, and BvS. So you honestly don't think using Snyder again and again like that on all the biggest and most important movies for the DCCU is taking a pretty big risk?

Kind of different when based on Novels IMO. Because the plot, story and direction of each film was already laid out.
Didn't work as well for the Hobbit trilogy though which was 3 films based on 1 book.

It really depends on Snyders vision at this point. Nolans final film was still great to me, although not perfect. People say he had too much control and that could very well be Snyders downfall as well. Snyder being on 3 or 4 movies isn't the isssue, really, it's his vision of the DCEU. If it's good, then it will be
