I actually like Lex and his intro is more of a public persona than anything.
See I dont get this way of thinking (excuse)
Its not like behind closed doors Jesse Eisenberg is going to grow a foot taller, or look different, or even if he changes his voice it would be dumb (like baleman).
He will still look like a skinny weaselly douche with a high pitched feminine voice. Even if bald.
And we do get a glimpse of "not in the public eye" Lex. When he is talking to Louise. He doesn't seem much different.

Lex is supposed to be physically intimidating? It's not an excuse and if you remember a bunch of photos that were released in multiple magazines, his public perception is that of a Mark Zuckerberg, with Facebook like facilities. Basketball courts and the like.
That's why I posted that link/quote. People are ragging on how different these characters feel and look (Like yourself), but there is more to it than what the trailers show.

😂Overall, I actually like the trailers. Doesn't stop me from criticizing the parts I don't.
There are parts I'm worried about (Gal as WW), but overall, it's not that hard to figure out that Lex is pulling the strings. That's his public persona, but I guess I could be wrong.
The whole "Lex has two sides" thing has been done for years in the comics. I don't care how stupid the public persona is, because honestly I only care about how he is as evil "I want to kill/**** Superman" Lex Luthor.
We got a glimpse of it with that line to Lois, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of that kind of thing.
Obviously a Clancy Brown-type Lex would be better, but that doesn't mean Eisenberg will be bad. He really deserves the benefit of the doubt, as it could easily have him end up as another Keaton/Ledger/RDJ scenario.

Whoa. Let's not get crazy here...
Those three guys (though they aren't the only ones) were treated by a large number of people like they were going to completely bomb, and would be terrible in their roles. They surprised people.
I genuinely think Eisenberg, at the very least, won't be half as bad as people think he will. He's a good actor, and if "evil Lex" has good material, I expect him to make the most of it.

Eisenberg may be a good Lex, but he definitely isn't judging from the trailer.

Yup, just pay attention to his mannerisms in the last two trailers.
