At least several times in the comics.
And what Mindset said.

Yes he is.Superman has far better villains that can actually carry a full movie like Brainiac, Mongul, or, if they really want to do something awesome, Manchester Black.
Just because you have more options with some villains doesn't make them better. Brainiac is better, sure, but that doesn't mean Doomsday suddenly becomes a throw-away. He has a legitimate function in the lore, and deserves far better to just be foil for another story.

Don't see it. You really don't need to spend multiple films building him up. Anyway, Thanos appeared in the first Avengers film and it was awesome. One of the highlights of the film.Based on the fact that all he can really do is punch.
So nothing about the psychological impact of the character, or the implications of what he is compared to Superman? Really? It's just powerset to you?

Sure do. He's been in one story of note and, as I've said before, I don't think it's even a particularly good one.

You're giving him a depth that really isn't there. And honestly, I'm far from convinced that he could carry on movie on his own.

Hey remember when there was supposed to be a MoS 2 coming out. Whatever happened to that?
Batgod happened 👆
Also my favorite part in the new trailer was when Bruce blew Clark the fuq out, telling him "we have a bad history with freaks dressed like clowns" And lol @ Clark's contained rage face.

You never read Hunter Prey? That was pretty notable. or Doomsday Wars?
Doomsday isn't the one with depth. It's how the story unfolds around him and how it affects Superman that has the depth.
Yah, Doomsday isn't a Throwaway character. That's just something a disillusioned fan would say. Most of us want an epic "Death of Superman" movie, where we get to see Supes and DD duke it out to the death in an emotional movie. Instead it looks like we get a DD that may not even Kill Superman; the main point of his character.
Originally posted by CPT Space BombExactly. To say throwaway really ignores and disrepute comic history and the significance this villain has always been with regards to Superman.

loledf*cker
Cant blame him. If it was me in that situation, I would have had my tongue down Lois' rectum instead, so he kept it pretty tame
Bad writing notwithstanding (you know they just threw that in for the typical love interest side plot), he wasn't bad
Edited it
He's inexperienced and did more than Bats could in that situation, so Bats is gonna have to suck it up

Wasn't a fan of either, no.
That's fine I suppose, but I also like a villain with some depth.

Good for you. I have little interest in a DoS film. There are far better stories I'd rather they explore.
Originally posted by ares834Uh, if you say so. In my opinion it's one one the best Superman stories of all time. It showed his true heroism; his willingness to fight for and defend others, even at the expense of his own life. He truly sacrificed everything to save civilians and his loved ones. Doomsday was a seemingly unstoppable force in that comic. Superman stopped him. It was a really good read (that and watching booster gold get his head slammed in a car door was fun too).
