The guy is a class act. I wish more antagonistic fanboys learned from him:
"As filmmakers, my brother and I, we love the genre," Anthony Russo said during a live panel at CCXP in Brazil this weekend. "The more good comic book movies there are the better, as far as we're concerned. So, we don't really look at it as competition. We think Zack Snyder is great and we hope the movie is fun and great and we enjoy it like everybody else."

A) They're cool guys
B) It's called the PC thing to say...they're not pulling a Zack Snyder calling Marvel "Flavor of the month" or Jason Mamoa saying "**** Marvel"....
C) They want DC to succeed so there's actually competition. Up till now there's been no competition.

I wasn't calling anyone a fanboy. I copied and pasted a post from another board.

They are right though. If Marvel has a couple of stinkers and DC puts out nothing but bad movies on top, that's not going to do either company any good.
On the other hand if BvS rocks, I'm guessing it's audience hungry for more are going to all go watch Civil War 2 months later.
In fact the whole new love for comic book movies wasn't all just down to Marvel, but a combination of Marvel's Phase I and TDK Trilogy.
I agree though some of Zack Snyder's comments have been full of butt hurt. So he clearly doesn't get it. Didn't like Samuel L Jackson's comments either.
Russo Brothers though are clearly cool and they get it. So all the best to them with their future movies. I know I'm looking forward to them.
The general audience DOES NOT CARE whether it's a DC or MARVEL production.
They're smart enough to distinguish which characters belong to which franchise & that's where it stops.
Regardless of whether you hated one film franchise over another, no one boycotts DC over Marvel or vice versa. The profits say that much.
Only fanboys on message boards do that & sorry to say, get easily offended & swayed by people actually in the industry ( Snyder, Russo,Jackson) having an opinion too.
It's also a silly mentality to think if DC flops it will effect Marvel & vice versa.
The general public once again does not think that way. Only fanboys do.

Actually I think mostly they're only aware when they actually crossover.
I still get people asking me which one's Superman with, which ones Batman with, which one's X-Men with and which one's Spider-Man with.
^ Not necessarily. I think a lot of people just never paid too much attention to the Marvel/DC logo at the beginning, but are asking these questions now in a Post-Avengers world, because they're curious who else can/will crossover with who.
And tbh it can be confusing for your casual movie goer, explaining to them things like how X-Men is Marvel but can never crossover with Avengers.

When the money is good enough I want them to make a Thor + Superman movie with a romantic comedy structure.

It's not just DC either, if Marvel's movies don't keep being good, then fatigue sets in faster as well.

Except the action/adventure films are still being made, as are rom-coms, spy thrillers, etc. People have been talking about "super hero fatigue" for quite some time and it comes up with every new film yet there's no actual evidence of it happening.

He didn't say it's happening. He said it would happen if we started getting a series of bad superhero movies in a row.
That's why competition is good, and why we're all waiting for WB/DC to get off their asses and give Marvel some damn competition. More competition means less of the IM3's level quality. Because even if the Superhero genre stays high for the next 2 decades, we don't want Marvel getting Lazy because they KNOW they will make money no matter what.
