I find it strange that some people actually want that, and they dont realize how dumb that would be. It wouldn't translate well into film even if done right.
All they can say is that "It is portraying the characters in true comic book power levels. I dont see the problem".
If you want to make a good film that is also successful and appeals to the general audience you have to tone that crazy stuff down.
.

The general audience just needs to accept this sort of thing, They're dealing with a movie based on a comic book that sort of thing comes with the territory.

If they started chucking planets or something else equally ridiculous in a film then this would probably be too much to swallow.

Not really.
I mean in Returns, physics was applied to Supes' strength.
He was able to save a crashing jetliner but the plane crumbled & ripped apart, something Supes couldn't prevent & didn't realise would happen.
Also with lifting the Kryptonite Island, he couldn't stop chunks of it disintegrating.

So as long as we see a planet that doesn't stay in one piece & physics is applied when Supes chucks it, I'm sure the audience won't think twice about the feat.

Nah. You can believe what you want but it'd be too far fetched to swallow.

You're right.
I don't know much about swallowing.

Listen I know life is rough right now but that doesn't mean you get to take it out on everyone else.

I agree. Stated my reasons in my previous posts.

Its like some think these movies are strictly made for die hard comic book fans only so they can get hard with on screen feats.

SMH.

What people actually said they want to see planet chucking power levels? Even comic Superman would have a hard time doing something like that.

😂

So many friends and colleagues of mine are asking me why they gave away so much in the Trailer. There was so much hype for this, and this trailer has really turned people off. WB/DC's paranoia has damaged this IMO.

DC has ****ed up yet again. It is so rather comical to me.

Actually, I think he could manage it pretty well

Not that I'd like to see that in the movies, of course

Moving a planet is different from treating it like a baseball (heck, even Smallville had him moving a planet).

Not sure if it actually damaged them though, do you know anyone who was going to see this, but isn't now because of the revealing too much?

I still want to see this, I'm just not aching to see it like I was with ep7, especially after the last preview.

Nu52 Supes was benching the weight of the planet for 5 days and didn't even seem tired. Original Supes has plenty of ridiculous feats of him moving planets. I've even seen him move a bunch of them at the same time by pulling them behind him. Just google "superman moves planets" and you'll get a bunch of scans of him doing so in different comics, and he doesn't even look like he's struggling. People seemed to have forgotten how overpowered Supes and Flash were before the reboot.

Enthusiasm makes a big difference though. I pre booked yo see SW twice OW. Almost booked 3 times. Will only book this once now and then see if I want to watch it again. Heck probably won't even pre-book.

Huh?

I said moving planets was fine. It was the pre-crisis, treating them like bowling balls stuff that I don't like.

I'd never pre book this shitty film. I still kinda want to sneak in on a weekday.

Honestly, it's the opposite from me. It's still the most anticipated movie of the year. Just because a few of your friends are less hyped about it, doesn't mean it's that way for the GA. And it's not like they're going to skip the movie. The marketing for this film hasn't even ramped up yet.

That's not fact. Civil War got twice the trailer views that the BvS trailer got. Just because you want it to be the most anticipated doesn't mean it is.

Now, It COULD be the most anticipated, but no one really knows. I'm with Thor on this one. Most people I know thought the third trailer was really bad and has made them nervous about the film, for good reason.

Trailer views don't really mean anything. Besides, that was CW's FIRST teaser, which always does more numbers than the 2nd or 3rd trailer. BVS first teaser did around 90 M views, counting all the outlets.

I'm just using top 10 lists on sites like IMDB, which BVS was #2 last time I checked. CW was #5. Star Wars was #1.

Not in it's first 24 hours. CW got over 60million views in under 24 hours, beating any of the BvS trailers. But you're right, that's not the point. We'll see which movie does better financially and gets higher scores. Prediction?

1) They make roughly the same money
2) Civil War blows it out of the water for quality/reviews.

I expect CW to be better and to make more money, personally.

All I want from BvS is to be good. I'd consider that a win, personally.
