Just never really bothered me. For me there's not a specific way Lex has to be. Gene Hackman Lex was very different to the Smallville Michael Rosenbaum Lex, who was very different to the Clancy Brown JLU Lex. But Brown's JLU Lex and/or the Lex of several of the DC animated films which are clearly modeled after the JLU version is what I wanted in this film; I don't see Eisenberg coming close to that or even doing a good role by doing his own unique take on the character. I'm hoping he does and I have to eat crow on Saturday, but I doubt it.

And if the reviews are anything to go off we'll all take Golgo's madness more seriously in future!

BTW, John Campea loved BVS. He was on the hate wagon for Gal Gadot on day ONE, but ended up liking her.

He also said Jesse Eisenberg was the STRENGTH of the film.

He's only giving it an 8/10 which is less than what he gave MOS. He also doesn't sound that enthusiastic about it.

Also he's not praising Gal much. He's just saying they made Gal work, and said she did some lines really well, but that she hardly has any lines. And that she doesn't steal the film.

Well, he did say it was better than MOS, because of the build up.

Reviews are starting to trickle in just no meter graphic yet.

Someone on the BO forums listed one of the reviewers past movies.

o after reading the Spanish rotten review, I checked review scores for other films he saw:

Dirty Grandpa - 7.5

Zoolander 2 - 8.5

London has Fallen - 8.5

wait for it...

Room - 5.5

I liked Dirty Grandpa. Does this mean I won't like BVS? 😕

Yes, but supposedly one of the reviews (Not sure) said it was a good movie, yet still is rotten. Not sure how that happened.

Because I'm sick of the hate this film has got.

Never seen a film trashed like this before the release while Civil War is the second coming of christ.

Fantastic Four was trashed by "fans" far more before it's release.

It got ugly.

Fant4stic was utter shit

Hands down the one the five worst films I have ever seen.

I've never been one to think about what reviews say.. it just means that you have a mind, not your own... whether reviews are good or bad, you still have to judge for yourself...

Not heard him say that, but his entire enthusiasm for this (as well as his score) is below his reviews scores for MOS).

He also gave DOFP and Winter Soldier a 9.5, Avengers and Deadpool a 10. But BvS he won't give more than an 8.

Not that I ever agree with him anyway.

Was trashed by Marvel fans because they wanted it to fail so Marvel would get Galactus and Silver Sufer for the MCU.

I can understand that tbh, but it certainly wasn't fair on the movie (pre-release).

Can't really judge these movies until we see them. Even when they're not following much of the source material doesn't mean they still can't be good films.
